  • Publication number: 20080236127
Abstract: The low-bush berry harvester that has a plurality of interspaced berry-picking units movable along a closed-loop berry-picking path. The closed-loop berry picking path is non-circular, but rather designed with a relatively straight lower portion configured and adapted to be level with the ground during use. Hence, the berry-picking units are slidable against the ground in the straight lower portion of the berry-picking path to pick berries, and are pivotable in an upper portion of the berry-picking path to drop picked berries for collection.

  • Patent number: 6550505
Abstract: A land clearing tractor and process are provided for selectively clearing a land of brush and trees. The tractor has a traction unit for moving the tractor along a direction of travel. A supporting frame is connected to the traction unit. The frame has first and second sides, and a raised section between the first and second sides. A first shredder head is operatively connected to the first side of the frame and oriented parallel to the direction of travel. The first shredder head is movable between elevated and lowered positions for clearing brush and trees in a first band. A second shredder head is operatively connected to the second side of the frame. The second shredder head is parallel to the first shredder head and is spaced apart therefrom. The second shredder head is movable between elevated and lowered positions for clearing brush and trees in a second band spaced apart from the first band. Thereby, the tractor leaves between the first and second bands a residual band of brush and trees.

  • Patent number: 4641735
Abstract: There is disclosed a clutch which will release under overload and will reset automatically upon speed reduction of the driving element. Two radial bars are fixed to the driven shaft; a driving wheel is rotatably mounted on the driven shaft adjacent the bars, and pivotally carries a pair of diametrically-opposite elongated pawls biased by tension springs to a radially-inwardly-extending position within the driving wheel to engage the respective arms, whereby the driving wheel drives the driven shaft. Under overload, the arms cause outward pivotal movement of the pawls against the bias of the springs, whereby the arms are cleared by the pawls, which remain in outwardly-pivoted position under centrifugal force until speed reduction of the driving wheel.
