  • Patent number: 6392185
Abstract: The welding gun includes an electrically driven welding clamp comprising a fixed indexed arm and a mobile arm, respectively provided with an electrode, and a device for indexing and de-indexing locking and releasing the clamp movement relative to the welding plane. The device for indexing and de-indexing includes a mechanical device arranged to ensure the locking and the releasing of the clamp movement, while the clamp is opening/closing, by the action of an electrical device controlling the opening and closing of the clamp.

  • Patent number: 6186517
Abstract: A tool for centering and clamping of at least a part (P) to be fixed in position and comprising a through passage and adjusted for the tool, comprises a pilot device borne at the end of a case having an upper face forming a support for the part and clamping members. The tool further comprises elements for driving the clamping members between a centering position in which the clamping members are retracted into the pilot device and a plurality of clamping positions in which the clamping members project outside the pilot device and rest on the part (P). The driving elements are arranged for simultaneously pivoting and translating the clamping members between the centering position and the clamping position. The invention is useful for handling parts to be fixed in position.

  • Patent number: 6087611
Abstract: A supporting device for a station for welding tongs hung in an assembly/production liner, consisting of a bracket provided with at least one member for catching a pair of tongs and a system for balancing the tongs in a vertical position, the bracket being integral with a shank. The components and accessories of the station for welding tongs other than the welding tongs, such as the transformer, the switch cupboard, the fluid panel and the programmable control are fixed on the shank and/or the bracket. The bracket further has at its free end an arm supporting the system for catching and balancing the tongs and articulated on the bracket about an axis parallel to the shank. The device is applicable to stations for welding tongs.

  • Patent number: 5128510
Abstract: An articulated pair of spot welding tongs comprising two supports (1,2) of the male and female type, each having a fork joint and an orifice, and two interchangeable arms (3,5), each carried by one of the supports. Each support is made from aluminum and treated by hard anodizing. A pin (13) traverses the two orifices, and carries two plates (39,40), each plate comprising a metal support plate covered by a coating based on fluorocarbonated fibers. The welding tongs can be used for a long period of time without any need for changing the insulating elements.

  • Patent number: 5027777
Abstract: The invention concerns a single-block fuel injection rail. The rail according to the invention comprises at least one rectilinear hollow tube, to which are joined at least one fuel intake tip, at least one injection intake and rail fastening means. The rail is formed from a metal billet placed in a die and has a longitudinal solid primary shape having transverse branches whose axes are perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the primary form. The rail is cooled and machined so as to give it its final shape.

  • Patent number: 4899712
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of manufacturing a single-block fuel injection rail. The rail according to the inventive process comprises at least one rectilinear hollow tube, to which are joined at least one fuel intake tip, at least one injection intake and rail fastening means. The method comprises striking, in the hot state, a metal billet placed in a die, imparting thereto a longitudinal solid primary shape having transverse branching, whose axes are perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the primary form, and cooling and machining the primary form so as to give the rail its final shape. The rail is formed from an aluminum alloy and the billet is struck at a temperature between about 430.degree. and 460.degree. C. The process may be used in the manufacture of fuel injection rails for the automobile industry.
