Abstract: An attachment for use with snow handling equipment such as a snowplow blade or a wheel loader bucket or similar implement, the attachment comprising a plate pivotally mounted at each end of the implement and movable between a forwardly projecting horizontal deployed position and a retracted position wherein the plate extends upwardly and does not interfere with normal operation of the implement. In the deployed position the plate is freely pivotal upwards and has a rounded front lower corner so that it can readily ride over curb stones and similar obstacles without damaging the mechanism. The attachments have the effect of greatly increasing the snow handling capacity of the implement without significantly detracting from its normal utilization.
