Abstract: A garment carrier (110) adapted to fit within a transportation container, especially a sea freight or air freight container. The carrier comprises a support frame (115, 117) and hanger rails (138) connectable to the support frame. The carrier is operable between an assembled state, in which the support frame components are interconnected to define a storage region for garments, and a disassembled state in which at least some of said support frame components and hanger rails are disconnected from one another to allow said disconnected components and hanger rails to be stacked upon each other such that said storage region is substantially eliminated.
