Abstract: A container for large caliber munitions of the type formed of an outer envelope closed by a cap. The container having an inner envelope demarcating means to prevent the translation of the projectile of the munition with respect to a case enclosing the munition, load and locking mechanism applied to the base of the munition, the locking mechanism ensuring immobilization along the three axes of the munition in the inner envelope, and a mechanism to immobilize the inner envelope along the three aforementioned axes with respect to the outer envelope.

Abstract: The protective casing particularly suitable for packing artillery shells which have a combustible sleeve, the casing being composed of two half-sections 3, 4 which are made of a thermoplastic and shaped so as to remain attached to support points 10, 11, 12, 13 of a projectile part 2 when assembled around this part, a rigid protection tube 5 fitted over the assembled half-sections 3, 4 and over the combustible sleeve 1, and a locking device 6 ensuring a mechanical connection between the assembled half-sections 3, 4 and the rigid protection tube 5 so as to prevent any relative axial displacement between these elements 3, 4 and 5.

Abstract: The front part of the case and the rear part of the curved part of smaller diameter, between said case and the shell properly speaking, are surrounded by two half-sheaths mating with the curve of said front part of the case and of curved part of the shell, which are held in place by fitting thereover, from the nose, a tube whose rear part is cylindrical and front part conical, this conical front part being applied against a part having the same conicity of the inner surface of the housings, when said plug of the housing is screwed on to the threaded portions at the rear of these housings.
