Patent number: 8376164Abstract: There is described a cap without additional seal for closing an opening of a neck of a container. The cap comprises a closing disc; a peripheral skirt sized to fit around the neck, the peripheral skirt. The cap also comprises a first annular sealing lip projecting downwardly from under the closing disc, near the opening of the neck, the first annular sealing lip being folded against the neck and toward the opening of the neck when the cap is attached onto the neck, thereby allowing neutralization of any backwash effect when the container is moved. The cap also comprise a second annular sealing lip external to the first annular sealing lip and positioned so as to be also folded against the neck, in a direction opposite to that of the first annular sealing lip when the cap is attached onto the neck.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 2008Date of Patent: February 19, 2013Assignee: Tetra Laval Holdings & Finance S.A.Inventors: Gérard Perrin, Henri Pionchon

Patent number: 6354363Abstract: The invention concerns an ingot mould comprising in succession, in the direction for extracting the metallic product to be cast (7): a preheater (5) made of noncooled refractory material acting as reservoir for the melting metal to be cast and a standard cooled tubular metal element (6) for solidifying the metal. A slot (18) for injecting the shearing gas (for example Ar) is arranged between the preheater (5) and the metal clement (6) so as to emerge on the ingot mold internal periphery. The injection slot comprises means (17) for reducing the gas flow in each of the ingot mold angles, preferably formed by obstructing elements. The invention enables to reduce, even eliminate, defects encountered along the edges of the solidified cast products.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2000Date of Patent: March 12, 2002Assignees: Usinor, Societe Anonyme des Forges et Acieries de DillingInventors: Eric Perrin, Gèrard Perrin, Cosimo Salaris, Howard Weisseldinger

Patent number: 5027996Abstract: A method of manufacturing a hollow shaft having internal swellings of revolution is disclosed. Hollow shaft sections, each having at least one internal swelling of revolution, are consecutively formed in a substantially continuous cold extrusion process using a single punch 7. Tubular blank 1a is extruded through narrowed orifice 14 of die 8. Tip 10 of punch 7 is inserted into axial passage 11 of blank 1a and shoulder 13 of punch 7 engages a rear end of blank 1a to push blank 1a partially through narrowed orifice 14 and thereby compress the front end of blank 1a between tip 10 and narrowed orifice 14. Punch 7 is then removed from die 8 and another tubular blank 12 is introduced in die 8 with its front end in abutment with the rear end of deformed blank 1b.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 1990Date of Patent: July 2, 1991Assignee: Floquet MonopoleInventors: Michel A.
