Abstract: A main tubular support structure extends along the length of a plurality of curved solar panels. Integral support sheet members are curved to receive the panels on one side. The opposite side of the sheet members include projecting sections welded to the tubular structure.

Abstract: A molded plastic replacement handle for a tool, such as a sledge hammer, which includes an opening tapered from both ends so that the narrower part is located close to the center of the tool. A plastic adapter element is dimensioned to fit over one end of the handle and includes a tapered area in the same general direction as the bottom taper in the opening in the tool. After placement of the adapter element on the handle, the tool is placed on the adapter element. A metal insert having an opening therein is dimensioned to fit over to enter space between the top tapered area of the tool and the handle. The metal insert includes bottom sections disposed to bend inwardly into the space when the insert is forced downwardly to secure the tool to the top of the handle.

Abstract: This application discloses method and means for making annular articles, such as rims, particularly rims which form components of gear wheels, in which arcuate segments are cut from a parallel-sided strip, ribbon, or tape without any waste of material and assembled to form an annulus without voids between segments; also means for cutting segments from a tape and coincidently placing them accurately in an annular assembly container or bucket and then integrating them to form an annular article which can be handled as a unit for assembling with other components to form a finished product.

Abstract: Apparatus for making a spiral muffler includes a mandrel for spirally winding a metal strip while maintaining a predetermined spaced relationship between the wound portions, with the strip being welded to a pair of side plates as it is wound.
