  • Patent number: 10298294
Abstract: In a method for an optimized transmission of data in a wired multi-carrier (multi-carrier modulation—MCM) transmission system from a transmitter to one or more receivers via a transmission channel, only one specified supply power is provided for the transmitter, a transmitted signal for transmitting data has a plurality of subcarriers, and the data together with redundant information is distributed to the plurality of subcarriers in such a way that the receiver can dispense with some of the subcarriers in order to determine the data. The method includes a step of determining frequency-dependent access impedances of the wired transmission channel on the transmitter, and a step of adjusting the signal amplitude of the individual subcarriers on the basis of the measured frequency-dependent access impedances sand the limited supply power.

  • Patent number: 8949055
Abstract: A measurement device, which communicates data to at least one system, and which has the capability of identifying measurement data returned by the system via the data communication as its own, and the capability to rule out manipulation of measurement values without use of a public or non-personal key. The measurement device includes at least an encryption and/or signature encoder that supplies information including a validity and reliability identifier for inspecting the integrity of the data, and compiles said information into a current data set and transfers it to at least said communication interface for transfer, and at least an encryption and/or signature decoder that inspects data sets returned via the communication interface using one or more keys in memory for integrity of data content and identification of the measurement device and, upon successful inspection of this data, supplies said data for further processing, evaluating or displaying.

  • Patent number: 8462041
Abstract: A device and method for secondary radar signal reception with quasi-dynamic or dynamic sectoring of a space to be monitored. The device includes at least one antenna assembly including antenna elements for the reception of transmitted secondary radar signals, a signal processing unit connected via a connection point to the antenna elements for the joint processing of received antenna signals, outputs associated with a couple matrix in the signal processing unit and individual receivers. The couple matrix includes adjustable coefficients for sectoring of the space to be monitored and for performing a superposition of the antenna signals using a multiplicative-additive combination of the received antenna signals. In the case of dynamic sectoring of the space, each receiver receives for each receipt telegram another weighted superposition of the antenna signals with certain couple coefficients, and in the case of quasi-dynamic sectoring the adjustable coefficients are fixed over a longer time period.

  • Publication number: 20110224935
Abstract: There are various systems designed for outputting counter data that are primarily collected under the term AMM systems today (AMM: Automatic Meter Management). Lacking in practice, however, is a consumption counter and a method for recognition of manipulations that is universally applicable, independently of other technical conditions, and that gives the customer the option for self-monitoring (consumption/leaks, etc.) locally.

  • Patent number: 7675386
Abstract: The various designs of capacitive or inductive coupling/decoupling fitted on cables in a medium voltage network are known, the inductive coupling circuits constantly inducing current in the sheath of the electric cable. The invention aims at obtaining ranges of capacitive coupling/decoupling for an inductive coupling circuit. Therefore, an inductive coupling unit comprising a ring enclosing the sheathed electric cable and a coil, coupled to said ring by induction and connected to a transmission and reception device, is designed such that, upon transmission the current of the message signal is directly induced in the conductor and, upon receptions only the conductor current is evaluated. In a first embodiment, a by-pass, located downstream of the inductive coupling unit and upstream of the defined surface, is connected to the sheath and to ground or to the compensation potential.
