  • Patent number: 6762732
Abstract: A method for assembling and installing an antenna, for mobile radios, which is formed by wire in a winding or twisting process and includes a helical part and a contact-making part, wherein the helical part being housed in a housing and secured in place via first snap-action hooks, the spring characteristics of the contact-making part allow advantageous contact-making capabilities during installation and fixing to a mobile radio housing, and the housing being secured within a mobile radio housing via second snap-action hooks.

  • Patent number: 5928712
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for forming a waveguide conductor ribbon by passing several light waveguides through a through-opening so that as the waveguides are passed through the opening, they are coated by a liquid coating material, which creates a drag force current for moving the waveguides through the opening. The diameter of the light waveguides and/or the position of the light waveguides inside the ribbon conductor is determined and the width of the through-opening of the coating apparatus is modified on the basis of the measured diameter value and/or on the basis of the size of any gap between the fibers to optimize the amount of drag current forces being produced.

  • Patent number: 5893409
Abstract: A heat sink for electronic components is presented, which is integral and comprises a strip of sheet brass. This strip is bent in a meandering shape, contact surfaces being seated on a heat distributor of a component, in the region of lower meandering curves. The heat sink is held firmly on the component by means of an internally produced prestress in conjunction with a snap-action connection. Although the heat sink has longitudinal elasticity even in the fitted state, its heat-dissipating function can always be maintained.

  • Patent number: 4730125
Abstract: An arrangement for synchronizing the PWM clock signals of several clocked direct voltage converters uses commercially available control circuits for controlling the converters. In the case where the TDA 4714 and TDA 4716 units are used as the control circuits no connection for synchronizing the switching clock signals is provided. The arrangement guarantees the synchronism of the oscillators of all the control circuits and features apparatus by which the phase shift between two switching clocks of two arbitrary direct voltage converters can be chosen to amount to 0.degree. or 180.degree..

  • Patent number: 4661038
Abstract: A protection arrangement for industrial robotics and other applications reacts to torsion moments and pressure forces in addition to bending moments and traction forces acting upon the flange of the industrial robotics. In the protection arrangement, a protection flange (1) is pulled or held in compression against pins (6) arranged on a divided circle with the tie rod (2) by means of springs (3). On the left end of the tie rod (2) an activating element (10) has been arranged, pressed against a sliding member (12) and/or activating levers (17) by means of spring (11). Upon shifting the activating element (10), a switch (13) is activated for deactivating the industrial robots. This protection arrangement provides mechanical protection for the gripper in addition to the conventional fuse electrical protection for the activating drives.

  • Patent number: 4655674
Abstract: A safety device connected to an industrial robot and mounting a tool characterized by an arrangement including a first and second flange for stopping the robot in response to a predetermined axially applied force to the tool and a second arrangement including the second flange and a third flange for stopping the robot in response to a shear force being applied to the tool so that a tool is protected both against shear forces and axially applied thrust during a collision in operation or during programming of the robot.

  • Patent number: 4611843
Abstract: A gripper for a manipulation installation such as an industrial robot characterized by a gripping arrangement including a gripping element movable into a receiving bore to enable gripping a cylindrical part. In order to compensate for misalignment between the bore and the cylindrical part and for tilting of the part, the cylindrical bore is provided in a slidable member and has a frusto-conical opening facing toward the part to act as a centering bell so that upon engagement of the part with the surface of the frusto-conical opening the slidable member moves to the desired position to allow insertion of the part into the bore. To enable exact positioning of the part after it is grasped by the gripping arrangement and removed from a rack or storage facilities, the gripper includes a centering arrangement to precisely center the movable member in the housing.

  • Patent number: 4391764
Abstract: A method of manufacturing plastic parts which are otherwise identical but which display different indicia such as typewriter keys which comprises the steps of injection molding a plurality of identical parts of a plastic having a filler material capable of undergoing a color change and thereafter exposing individually the identical parts to a radiation source for changing the color of localized portions of the part to display the indicia while retaining the molded color of remaining portions wherein the plastic is polyacetal and the filler is carbon black or graphite.
