  • Patent number: 5607539
Abstract: A labelling apparatus is provided wherein labels (21) are transported from a label magazine (9) to a labelling station by means of a conveyor belt (1). Adhesive is applied to the conveyor belt (1) by means of a pasting station (5) at the portions which are to receive a label (21). The pasted portion of the conveyor belt is brought into contact with the label to be received such that the label is taken over and transferred by the sticking effect exerted by the adhesive. The conveyor belt (1) passes around a delivery edge (3) where the label is lifted off from the conveyor belt and applied to the object to be labelled.

  • Patent number: 5526958
Abstract: A outer cardboard box is provided for an inner bag, the box having a spout so that viscous, creamy or pasty material can be dispensed from the spout. In this box, the bottom wall opposite to the pouring spout is connected with only two sidewalls so that when the sidewalls are compressed to cause a flow of material from the inner bag and through the spout, the bottom wall bulges inwardly and the other sidewalls bulge outwardly.

  • Patent number: 5193712
Abstract: A stackable bulk-material packing or container is disclosed, which can have a simple opening for pouring out the contents. The packing uses a folding-box carton with a bag inside it. The bag has an opening for pouring out the contents. The opening has an annular shoulder and is located behind a removable section of the carton. Removal of this section produces an opening in the carton giving access to the opening in the bag. The removal section of the carton is located at one of the upper corners or one of the upper edges of the carton. Because the removable section of the carton and the opening in the bag are co-located at one of the upper corners or one of the upper edges of the carton, the contents do not exert any pressure on them, and the closure can thus be of a simple design.

  • Patent number: 5133497
Abstract: In a container such as a cardboard container for packaging milk which comprises sidewalls, a bottom flap and a top flap as well as an ear to be folded down around a folding edge for forming a pouring spout the problem is encountered that, for opening the container, an outer portion of the ear has to be cut away and, after opening the container, no reclosure is possible, but the pouring spout remains open and may be a source of pollution. In order to obviate this problem the ear of the inventive container comprises a socket member projecting from the ear at the surface thereof adjacent to the folding edge and facing a sidewall of the container, and there is an aperture provided in the facing sidewall for receiving the socket member. In this manner, the socket member forms a reclosable pouring spout of the container.
