  • Patent number: 6663362
Abstract: A fluid pump, in particular for the cooling or heating circuit of a motor vehicle, has a claw pole stator and a rotor that is separated from the claw pole stator by a tube, is immersed in a fluid, and has a vane wheel. Claws (25) of the claw pole stator (21) are an integral component of the tube (11), which is part of a motor housing (2), and the number of mounting steps is thus reduced.

  • Patent number: 6506034
Abstract: A fluid pump, in particular for the coolant and heating system of a motor vehicle, has a stator (21) of claw pole construction and a rotor (6), separated from the stator (21) by a pipe (11), which is immersed in the coolant and forms a vane wheel. The rotor (6) is disposed radially inside the stator (21).

  • Patent number: 5540567
Abstract: The invention is directed to a unit serving to convey a liquid medium, in particular a heat carrier, in the cooling and heating system of a motor vehicle. The conveying unit has an electric drive motor for a conveying pump connected in the circuit, which drive motor has a collector and contact brushes contacting the bearing surface of the latter. The conveying member of the conveying pump is connected with one coupling half of a magnetic coupling so as to be fixed with respect to rotation relative to it and the motor armature is connected with the other coupling half so as to be fixed with respect to rotation relative thereto. A unit housing which preferably comprises a plurality of parts encloses a space receiving the motor and a chamber accommodating the conveying member of the pump. A favorable atmosphere is created in the motor space with respect to brush wear by arranging a wall between the two coupling halves, which wall divides the pump chamber from the motor space and allows moisture to pass through.

  • Patent number: 5431340
Abstract: A device for heating a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle has a heating circuit connectable to a hydraulic circuit of an internal combustion engine, and a delivery unit including a delivery pump having a delivery element formed as an impeller wheel rotatable in a pump chamber having a suction opening, an electric motor having an armature and driving the delivery pump, and an electric coupling through which the electric motor drives the delivery pump. The magnetic coupling has one coupling half connected with the impeller wheel and another coupling half connected to the armature of the drive motor. The delivery element of the pump has an axis of rotation and is displaceable in a longitudinal direction of the axis of rotation between two operating positions, including one operating position which is close to the suction opening and another operating position which is at a distance from the suction opening.

  • Patent number: 5056713
Abstract: A heating system for a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle includes a heat exchanger located in the passenger compartment and a feeding conduit extending between the heat exchanger and the cooling circuit of the vehicle internal combustion engine and connected to the cooling circuit at a point downstream of the internal combustion engine in a direction of liquid flow. A return conduit extends between the heat exchanger and a delivery unit of the cooling circuit. The heating system also includes a shut-off device for blocking flow of heat to the heat exchanger. The shut-off device has first and second chambers and inlet and outlet ports communicating with the first chamber. A pressure port communicates with the second chamber and is connected with the feeding conduit. A wall separates the first and second chambers.

  • Patent number: 4838488
Abstract: A device for delivering washing liquid to two spraying nozzles spaced from each other at two areas of a pane being washed or two panes being washed comprises a pump with a rotor driven in two opposite directions and a delivery unit connected to the pump and having two pressure chambers with two outlets connected to the respective nozzles and each alternatively receiving the liquid from the pump. A limiter which separates the chambers from each other has two portions movable under pressure and each provided with a sealing diaphragm which closes the respective outlet. Two diaphragms can close both outlets when the pump is in non-operative position.
