    Abstract: An articulated sectional overhead gate, in particular for a commercial vehicle, includes a plate-shaped body structure comprised of a plurality of rigid panels made from a single-layer plastic strip, multi-layer plastic strip or laminate of different material layers, and a hinged connection for articulating the panels to one another such that flexible zones are created between consecutive panels. The flexible zones are effected through formation of depressions spaced along at least one side of the body structure.
