  • Publication number: 20230361419
Abstract: A battery cell closure strip for a battery cell of prismatic or of pouch-type design is disclosed. A main body has a degassing duct which extends along the vertical axis of the battery cell closure strip from an inner side of the battery cell closure strip to the outer side of the battery cell closure strip. The degassing duct is closed by means of a media-operated sealing element during regular operation of the battery cell closure strip. The sealing element opens the degassing duct when a predefined limit pressure of the battery cell is reached. An emergency degassing duct has an opening cross section through which media can flow that is at least 10 times larger than that of the degassing duct and which is closed by a bursting valve which opens the emergency degassing duct when a bursting pressure is reached or exceeded.

  • Patent number: 6491176
Abstract: A sealing valve 10 for container openings made from rubber elastic material and having a stopper member 11 which can be introduced into the container opening up to a stopper collar 12 projecting beyond the stopper member 11 in a radial direction 26. At least one control channel 16 is formed on the stopper member 11 and extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis 24 of sealing valve 10 from one end of the stopper member 11 facing an inner region of the container 20. A sealing lip 15 is formed on the stopper collar 11 and can seat in a sealing fashion on a container edge 25 surrounding the container opening. The stopper collar 12 has a control channel section 29 transverse to the control channel 16 of a stopper member 11 which extends this control channel 16 up to the sealing lip 15. A reliable venting is guaranteed while simultaneously securing sealing to prevent the escape of battery liquids. Economical production with large yield is also facilitated.

  • Patent number: 5455124
Abstract: The invention concerns a sealing valve for apertures in containers, the valve comprising a cover element and, running round the edge of the cover element and integral with it, a wall element. In one application of the valve as a gas-release valve for accumulators, the valve (20) is shaped like a cap and has a beading (24) with a sharply projecting sealing edge running round the inside of the cap wall. On the inside of the cap are control channels (25, 25', 25") which extend from the top of the cap to the beading (24) and allow the pressure at which gas is released from the accumulator to be set within a given range.

  • Patent number: 5388615
Abstract: A sealing means and sealing valve 10 for container openings is formed from a housing 11, 12 in which a seal 13 is arranged. The seal 13 closes a gap between the housing portions 11, 12. The housing portions 11, 12 exhibit bores 14, 14' and 15 through which a fluid can flow through the housing portions 11, 12, as long as the seal 13 opens up a gap. The seal 13 exhibits a sealing bead 20, which lies across from the spring-bead 22, 23, 24.
