  • Patent number: 9878596
Abstract: An air vent of a ventilation and heating module for motor vehicles has at least horizontally extending air guide vanes which can be pivoted about a first axis and which are each coupled with a coupling element. At least one air guide vane is coupled via a coupling rod to the coupling element which is displaceable relative to the first axis in a displacement direction between a neutral position and a diffuse position of the air guide vanes. The coupling rod for each air guide vane is formed as a rocker, which is coupled at one end with an air guide vane and is pivotally coupled at the other end with the ventilation and module. Each rocker is coupled to the coupling element via a sliding block guide.

  • Patent number: 6315551
Abstract: The technical field of the invention is making a burner capable of using one or more fuels, optionally simultaneously, together with particular features for the gas feed ducts. Such a burner comprises at least four substantially concentric ducts for feeding fuel and primary combustion air, including a duct for axial air and a duct for rotary air disposed outside any fuel outlet opening, and a central stabilizer placed at the outlet of a central primary air delivery duct opening out through orifices of said stabilizer, which stabilizer projects radially relative to any opening of a tube placed inside said central primary air duct and inside which a fuel pipe opens out. According to the invention, said burner has at least one additional gas feed opening out into said stabilizer and disposed around said opening having any diameter lying between the tube within which the fuel pipe opens out and the outer tube defining the central primary air delivery duct.

  • Patent number: 5212148
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a layer of a superconducting high-T.sub.c -material. For this purpose, an appropriate target material is deposited on a predetermined substrate by a pulsed laser with a wavelength in the ultraviolet range and, by applying a heat treatment and an oxygen treatment, the desired superconducting metal-oxide phase is formed with an ordered crystal structure. The heat treatment and oxygen treatment are performed simultaneously during the vaporizing step, whereby a power density of the laser radiation of over 3 J/cm.sup.2 at the target material is provided, the pulse power of the laser is at least 1.5 J/pulse, the temperature of the substrate is raised to 600.degree. C. to 800.degree. C., and an oxygen atmosphere of between 0.02 mbar and 1 mbar is provided.

  • Patent number: 4276160
Abstract: A method of purifying waste water with treated aluminum oxide. The method comprises contacting the waste water with Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 which has been treated with ions which when incorporated in the crystal lattice of the Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 are capable of delaying crystallization of the gamma phase of the Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 or with the salts of said ions.In one embodiment, the Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 is artificially synthesized and the treatment comprises incorporating the ions, which may be either anions or cations, in the course of the synthesis.Alternatively, the Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 may be treated by subjecting the Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 to a surface treatment with ions capable of delaying crystallization of the gamma phase or the salts thereof. In yet another embodiment, the Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 may be doped with CO.sub.2.
