  • Patent number: 7007937
Abstract: In order to improve a clamp-type hand tool, comprising a first arm incorporating a corresponding jaw portion and a second arm incorporating a corresponding jaw portion wherein the two arms are pivotable relative to one another and the jaw portions form a jaw device having an adjustable aperture, in such a manner that it is employable in as universal a way as possible, it is proposed that the jaw portion of the first arm and/or the law portion of the second arm be displaceable on the corresponding arm.

  • Publication number: 20050200065
Abstract: In order to provide a clamping and spreading device with a slide rail which is mounted for displacement and the displacement movement of which can be actuated in a clamping direction with blocking of the displaceability in the opposite direction and the displacement movement of which can be actuated in a spreading direction with blocking of the displaceability in the opposite direction, wherein the direction of displacement can be switched over between clamping direction and spreading direction, which can be produced in a simple manner and can be operated in a simple manner, a movable positioning element is suggested which supports actuating elements for the slide rail, wherein the displacement movement of the slide rail in the clamping direction or in the spreading direction can be actuated as a function of the position of the positioning element.

  • Patent number: 6848683
Abstract: In order to increase the utility of an arm clamp having a guide rail, on which a fixed transverse arm is seated, having a sliding arm which is displaceable on the guide rail and which can be tilted with the latter, and having a pressure application spindle with a pressure piece, which pressure application spindle is displaceably arranged on the sliding arm so that a compressive force can be exerted on a workpiece between transverse arm and sliding arm, a box-like attachment member is provided for the sliding arm, which provides a substantially flat abutment surface for a workpiece, and is so constructed that it can be pushed on the pressure piece of the sliding arm so that the attachment member is held on the sliding arm and a compressive force can be exerted by the attachment member on a workpiece via the pressure application spindle, and wherein the attachment member comprises at least two mutually spaced guide recesses via which it is displaceably mounted on the guide rail.

  • Patent number: 6701596
Abstract: In order to improve a clamping and spreading device for the relative movement of two workpieces which have surfaces lying essentially parallel to a common plane, comprising a first holder, to which the first workpiece can be fixed, and a second holder, to which the second workpiece can be fixed, wherein the two holders are movable relative to one another, in such a manner that this can be used in a simple manner comfortable for the operator it is provided for the first holder and the second holder to be connected to one another via a guiding device so as to be displaceable and for the guiding device to comprise an actuating element which is mounted not only on the first holder so as to be movable but is also mounted on the second holder so as to be movable and via which a relative movement of the two holders can be actuated.

  • Patent number: 5516087
Abstract: In order to improve a clamping device, in particular for clamping workpieces on a machine table, comprising a housing securable in position on a support surface of a carrier by means of an anchoring element, a clamping element movable relative to the housing and having a clamping arm projecting from the housing and a clamping spindle rotatably mounted on the housing for moving the clamping element, such that the housing can be secured in place on the support surface in as simple a manner as possible, it is suggested that a fastening element supported on the housing be movable relative to the housing from a first position into a second position for securing the housing in position, that in the first position the housing be detachable from the support surface and that in the second position the fastening element secure the housing in position on the support surface by acting on the anchoring element with a fastening force.
