  • Patent number: 4083026
Abstract: The invention is an arrangement of inductive voltage transformers for installation in a completely insulated high-voltage switching installation comprising a metal encapsulation and several high-voltage conductors. In accord with the invention each of the inductive voltage transformers includes an insulating body carrying a respective high-potential winding, and each further includes a bushing laterally joined to its respective insulating body. More particularly, in further accord with the invention the bushings are arranged so as to be continuations of the high voltage conductors of the switching installation when the transformers are disposed therein.

  • Patent number: 4055825
Abstract: A voltage transformer for use with high voltages. The transformer includes an insulating body in which is disposed a high-potential winding and a bushing laterally joined to the insulating body. In accord with the invention, the transformer is further provided with control electrodes in the form of conducting cylinders which are disposed concentrically with respect to the longitudinal axis of the bushing, thereby affording control of the bushing at both its ends. Moreover, in further accord with the invention, the high-potential winding is arranged adjacent to one side of the bushing so that its width extends over the control length thereof, and is comprised of subwindings which are metallically connected to the respective conducting cylinders such that a uniform voltage distribution results during the occurrence of surge voltages.

  • Patent number: 3974440
Abstract: A measuring transformer for a fully-insulated, metal-clad, high-voltage installation equipped with a metal outer tube containing a high-voltage conductor includes a tube member arranged within the metal outer tube in surrounding relation to the high-voltage conductor. The tube member constitutes a surface-type electrode an conjointly defines with the high-voltage conductor a high-voltage capacitor. A low-voltage capacitor is connected to the high-voltage capacitor so as to conjointly define therewith a capacitive voltage divider. A transformer core unit including an iron core and a transformer winding system mounted on the iron core is also provided. The transformer core unit is arranged on the outer surface of the tube member whereby the tube member carries the transformer core unit inside the metal outer tube of the high-voltage installation.

  • Patent number: 3952243
Abstract: A voltage transformer for an insulated high-voltage switching apparatus of the type including a metallic outer tubular casing in which an electrical conductor is disposed, and a tubular sleeve disposed about the conductor within the casing. The sleeve forms both a surface type electrode and in conjunction with the electrical conductor of the apparatus, a high potential capacitor. The improvement of the invention comprises a coupling arrangement, fabricated of electrical insulation material, which is fastened at one end of the tubular sleeve and is coupled to the casing of the apparatus. A support arrangement, also fabricated of electrical insulation material, is fastened at the other end of the tubular sleeve and disposed in engagement with the inner surface of the apparatus casing. The coupling and support arrangements function in conjunction with each other to support the tubular sleeve in the apparatus casing about the electrical conductor.
