  • Patent number: 10689897
Abstract: A passenger transport vehicle that includes at least one door, an optical detection module to dynamically detect a current fill value representing a number of occupants in the passenger transport vehicle, and a control module operatively connected to the at least one door and the optical detection module. The control module is configured to automatically initiate a closing sequence that includes movement of the door to a closed position once the detected current fill value reaches a predetermined threshold fill value for the passenger transport vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9132724
Abstract: A coupling between a replaceable battery and a vehicle in order to produce an electrical contact between the battery and a vehicle electrical system. The coupling includes at least one vehicle-side coupling part and at least one battery-side coupling part, each coupling part having at least one electrical contact site. The contact sites of the coupling parts that are separate from each other until the battery is mechanically fastened to the vehicle can be brought into mutual contact after the battery has been mechanically fastened to the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 8297683
Abstract: A mounting frame member is provided for framing and sealing a frameless window pane of an after-market motor vehicle tailgate intended to replace a tailgate having a different structure. The mounting frame member includes a mounting frame body mounted to the motor vehicle, the mounting frame body including an integrally formed sealing weatherstrip at an inner peripheral region thereof. A supplemental sealing weatherstrip may be provided adjacent the sealing weatherstrip of the mounting frame body and over the frameless window pane. Accordingly, a single, unitary BIW structure may be utilized when effectuating after-market structural changes or replacements to an existing tailgate.
