  • Patent number: 5729831
Abstract: A protective glove is made of fabric of interwoven metal rings. The metal rings are interwoven in such a way that the fabric is substantially more flexible, without forming folds, in a longitudinal direction (L) than in a perpendicular direction thereto. The longitudinal direction (L) is the longitudinal direction of the fingers. The protective glove is further provided in the area of the wrist with a slot oriented towards the fingers and bridged by a closing strip arranged on the glove. The closing strip is also made of interwoven metal rings and is interwoven with the glove.

  • Patent number: 4610088
Abstract: In a hand-held motor-driven compass saw, the end of the reciprocating rod is connected to the end of the saw blade by means of a clamping member. The reciprocating rod has a U-shaped cross-section whereby it defines a relatively flat recess into which the end of the saw blade is inserted. The end of the reciprocating rod and the end of the saw blade are surrounded by a protective shield. The clamping member may be displaced along the end portion of the reciprocating rod from outside of the shield so as to release the clamping member or to lock it on the end of the reciprocating member when the saw blade is inserted into the recess formed in the U-shaped reciprocating rod.

  • Patent number: 4550500
Abstract: In a compass saw formed as a hand-held machine tool a flat saw blade is connected with a flat reciprocating rod by a connecting device which comprises a cup-shaped clamping sleeve screwed on a rotary member formed with a through hole extended in the direction of elongation of the reciprocating rod the end of which is inserted into that hole. The shaft of the saw blade passes through a bore formed in the clamping sleeve and partially extends into the hole in the rotary member. Two opposing pins formed on the shaft of the saw blade limit the extension of the saw blade shaft into the hole of the rotary member. The end of the shaft is pressed against a recess formed in the reciprocating member, on the one hand, and the pins of the shaft are engaged in depressions formed in the rotary member, on the other hand, whereby clamping of the shaft of the saw blade with the end of the reciprocating rod in the clamping sleeve is ensured.

  • Patent number: 4390311
Abstract: A tool support for a hand tool machine includes a housing surrounding a drive spindle having a recess to receive a tool-receiving sleeve. This recess accommodates a compression spring which biases an end portion of the sleeve. The sleeve is also provided with a tool-facing portion receiving a tool to be used and an intermediate shaped portion which is arranged for a possible slidable movement within an adapter rigidly mounted to the drive spindle. A second sleeve is provided in the tool support which is threadably mounted on the tool-facing portion of the tool-receiving sleeve and is arranged so that its axial position may be adjusted. Said end portion of the sleeve has such a length that the length of contact of this end portion with the recess should be relatively larger than the combined length of contact of the shaped portion of the tool-receiving sleeve with the inner surface of the adapter and a possible path of the second sleeve in the axial direction.

  • Patent number: 4340831
Abstract: A brush holder mechanism for electric motors, especially the fractional horsepower commutator-equipped motors of workshop power tools. In order to prevent failure of the tool due to jamming of the carbon brushes in their holders, the brush holder according to the invention provides that the brush holder casing in which the carbon brush moves has smooth, flat and uninterrupted interior surfaces and the casing is constructed of a single piece of metal or a single piece of metal on which a continuous cover plate is attached. The integral construction of the casing insures that the casing is not deformed during manufacture or assembly, in particular by the bending of parts of the casing into fastening tabs and the like. In the brush holder according to the invention, the fastening means are integral with the cover plate or the casing. In other embodiments, the casing is held in a receiver by clamps and screws.

  • Patent number: 4266789
Abstract: A tool chuck, especially for holding tool bits, for example twist drills, and for use with a machine tool, in particular a portable electric drill. The chuck is so constructed as to permit secure holding of the tool bit even when used in percussion drills or impact hammer drills, while at the same time providing protection for the elastic internal element which provides axial movement. The tool chuck has a core or mandrel surrounded by a hollow conical collar which includes at least two chuck jaws and the elastic member is located between the core and the collar to apply an axial force between these two parts when the chuck is closed on a tool bit while being protected against direct exposure to the impacts sustained by the chuck jaws.

  • Patent number: 4090098
Abstract: An electric contact arrangement for wire coils of stators of electric machines, particularly stator coils of electric motors, includes an annular support member of electrically insulating material stationarily abutting one end of the stator, pin-shaped projections on the support member extending away from the stator, and metallic contact caps pressed onto the pin-shaped projections so as to clamp portions of wires respectively located intermediate the pin-shaped projections and the contact caps. Contact members arranged in the electric circuit for supplying electric current to the coils are in an electric contact with the contact caps upon assembly of the electric machine. Recesses may be provided in the support member and particularly in the pin-shaped projections in which the wires are received, and the caps may be internally corrugated to clamp the wire between the respective corrugations and the respective recess of the pin-shaped projection.
