  • Patent number: 9853569
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for actuating inverter stages (2) switched in parallel, wherein each inverter stage (2) comprises several switching elements (3) with two switching states each. In accordance with the invention, the actuation of the inverter stages (2) occurs via a central control unit (6) which is connected to each inverter stage (2) via a serial data transmission path (5). Measures are proposed for transmitting the selected switching states from the central control unit (6) to the respective inverter stage (2) in order to ensure secure operation of the inverter stages (2) over a plurality of switching processes on the one hand and to reliably prevent functional impairments of the switching elements (3) by erroneous actuation, but to also carry out the actuation of the switching elements (3) of the inverter stages (2) in a sufficiently rapid way on the other hand in order to avoid impairing the quality of the output current formed by the inverter stage (2).

  • Patent number: 5620528
Abstract: A solar cell has electrical conductors applied on a pattern of electric contacts on a front surface and extending transversely relative thereto with a portion projecting beyond the edge of the solar cell. The formation of the electrical pattern includes at least two elongated portions interconnected by a return portion which extends beyond the one edge. This return portion provides a stiffening suitable for reliable interconnection to an additional solar cell to achieve a connection of two conductors in the projecting region.

  • Patent number: 5015160
Abstract: An injection pump for internal combustion engines having a pump piston bushing, a pump piston, guided in the bushing, including control edges for controlling the beginning and end of an injection event. The control edges cooperate with control bores provided in the wall of the pump piston bushing that discharge into a reservoir chamber surrounding the pump piston bushing; fuel can be delivered into this chamber under pressure, and excess fuel, or fuel overflowing at the end of an injection event, can be diverted from it. For the fuel delivery, a suction valve opening to the reservoir chamber is connected to the reservoir chamber, while for the fuel diversion, a check valve in the form of a pressure maintenance valve that opens away from the reservoir chamber is connected to the reservoir chamber. This pressure maintenance valve may be preceded on the inlet side by a throttle restriction.

  • Patent number: 4499873
Abstract: The control rod system for the fuel injection devices being designed as pump-nozzle-units (1) for Diesel engines comprises two control rods (7, 8) offset transversely relative to the axis to the pump-nozzle-unit and in longitudinal direction of this axis, said control rods being connected via slide pieces (11, 12) and lever arms (15, 16) with the control shafts (9, 10) rotatably supported on the engine and being common for all pump-nozzle-units (1). As seen in axial direction of the pump-nozzle-unit (1), at least the slide piece (12) located less remote from the nozzle is, with retracted control rod (8), not overlapping the control shaft (9) which is located more remote from the nozzle, so that dismounting of the pump-nozzle-unit by moving it upwardly can be effected without dismounting the control shaft (FIG. 5).

  • Patent number: 4432320
Abstract: In a control equipment for adjusting the moment of fuel injection and/or the amount of fuel supplied by a fuel injection pump in internal combustion engines, at least one mechanical energy accumulator (9, 10) is provided between an adjusting member (2, 3) for the begin of fuel supply and/or for the amount of fuel supplied and an electrical servomotor (4), said energy accumulator comprising two mutually movable spring collars (12, 13) between which is accommodated a pre-stressed compression spring (11) and the maximum distance of which one from the other is limited by abutments (14, 15) of a housing surrounding the spring collars. (FIG. 1).

  • Patent number: 4426982
Abstract: In a process for controlling the beginning of delivery of a fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines having fuel injection, particularly Diesel engines, in dependence on the torque and under consideration of immediately measurable operation parameters, at least the revolution speed. The torque is determined from the intake boost pressure generated by a turbocharger and optionally from that amount of air which is blown off at increasing revolution speed above a certain intake boost pressure.A device for performing said process comprises a processor for performing at least one calculating operation provided with a store for storing the program to be executed, sensors transmitting signals to the processor representative of operation parameters of the injection-type internal combustion engine, and actuating means for controlling the beginning of fuel delivery of the fuel injection pump being connected with the processor.
