    Abstract: A priority-resource-limited CoMP scheme is proposed based on a coordination priority index of users which comes into play to perform cooperation set selection and resource allocation in small cell networks. The CoMP control unit (CCU) configures and then transmits to the donor (serving) Transmission/Reception Point (TRP) the coordination priority index which is determined as a function of the required Bit Rate for that specific User Equipment and the SINR or the CQI. The donor Transmission/Reception Point (TRP) then transmits the coordination priority indexes sent by the CCU to the corresponding User Equipment (UE)s. The configuration of the coordination priority index allows the User Equipment to select a subset of Channel State Information reports or Channel State Information quantities to report so that the threshold index of the coordination priority is met.
