  • Patent number: 10408668
Abstract: An apparatus of estimating a vehicle weight may include: an acceleration detector detecting a longitudinal direction acceleration of the vehicle; a data detector detecting state data to estimate the vehicle weight; an engine clutch disposed between an engine and a drive motor and selectively connecting the engine to the drive motor; an integrated starter-generator for starting the engine and generating electric energy; and a vehicle controller calculating a basic vehicle weight based on an engine torque, a motor torque and the longitudinal direction acceleration detected by the acceleration detector. The vehicle controller estimates a final vehicle weight based on the basic vehicle weight and a predetermined weight when an estimating entrance condition is satisfied from the state data.

  • Publication number: 20190118830
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for controlling a driving mode of a vehicle are provided. The apparatus includes a mode converter that converts the driving mode of the vehicle based on an operation of a mode conversion input. When the driving mode is converted into a custom mode, a mode setting screen for adjusting a setting value of a driving characteristic preset is configured and the configured mode setting screen is displayed on a display of the vehicle. A tuning device then tunes a driving characteristic of the custom mode based on a setting value adjusted on the mode setting screen.

  • Publication number: 20160059841
Abstract: A control system of a hybrid vehicle includes: an engine that generates power by burning fuel; a driving motor that assists the power from the engine by generating power using electricity supplied from a battery; an integrated starter-generator that starts the engine and charges the battery by operating selectively as a power generator; an atmospheric sensor that measures the atmospheric pressure; a temperature sensor that measures the temperature of intake air flowing into the engine; and a controller that calculates a control factor, using the atmospheric pressure measured by the atmospheric sensor and the temperature of intake air measured by the temperature sensor, and adjusts a State of Charge (SOC) charge band between an SOC where charging the battery is started and an SOC where a hybrid vehicle runs in a charge mode, in accordance with the magnitude of the control mode.

  • Patent number: 9272707
Abstract: A control apparatus of a hybrid electric vehicle includes: a clutch provided between an engine and a motor generating power; a transmission serially connected to the motor; a driving information detector detecting driving information including an output speed of the motor, an output speed of the transmission, and a rotation speed of a driving shaft serially connected to the transmission; and a controller limiting an input torque of the motor or an input speed of the motor to a predetermined level or less when a difference between the output speed of the motor and the output speed of the transmission detected by the driving information detector is higher than a predetermined value. As a result, it is possible to prevent a hybrid electric vehicle from starting at an unwanted speed.
