Abstract: Apparatus for coating the interior surfaces of metal containers by electrostatic deposition of specific polyolefin compositions on the separate parts of the containers prior to assembly of the containers and melting of the polyolefin compositions, which includesa first spray booth containing at least one electrostatic powder spraying device for spraying a polyolefin composition powder, the first spray booth being adapted for spraying the bottoms and lids of the containers,means for conveying the bottoms and lids of containers in the first spray booth,a second spray booth containing at least one electrostatic powder spraying device for spraying a polyolefin composition powder, the second spray booth being adapted for spraying the bodies of the containers,means for conveying the bodies of containers in the second spray booth, andat least one electrostatic generator connected to the spraying devices.

Abstract: Parts of coatings made of plastic material on metal pipes, that have either been removed or damaged, are repaired by using one or more segments of a hollow cylinder having an inside radius equal to the outside radius of the metal pipe and an outside radius equal to the sum of the outside radius of the metal pipe plus a length from 80% to 120% of the thickness of the coating, said hollow cylinder segments being made up of a polymer composition, preferably foamed, comprising (percentages by weight):A) from 92% to 100% of a thermoplastic polymer selected from polypropylene; crystalline copolymers of propylene containing from 2% to 25% in moles of ethylene and/or C.sub.4 -C.sub.10 .alpha.-olefins; heterophasic compositions comprising said polypropylene or crystalline copolymers of propylene in combination with one or more elastomeric olefin copolymers;B) from 0% to 8% of a filler having the function of blocking UV radiation.

Abstract: Process for coating metal pipes, where the coating materials used are specific polyolefin compositions partially crosslinked by grafting the polyolefin backbone with an alkenyl-substituted alkoxysilane and then reacting the grafted polyolefin with water.

Abstract: Polymer composition comprising a propylene polymer matrix containing (percentages by weight with respect to the total composition):A) 60-90% of one or more heavy mineral fillers, the specific weight of which is or are greater than or equal to 3; andB) 0.1-4% of a compatibilizer for the filler(s);where said compositions has a MFRL ranging from 1 to 10 g/10 minutes, an elongation at break ranging from 1.5 to 100%, and flexural modulus ranging from 3,000 to 10,000 Mpa.

Abstract: Disclosed is a process for repairing removed or damaged parts of plastic coating on metal tubing characterized in that the coating material or the adhesive for patches or bands is an adhesive polymer composition comprising by weight:A) from 59% to 94% of polypropylene, propylene/ethylene random copolymer, propylene/ethylene/1-butene random copolymer or mixtures thereof with one or more plastomeric polymers selected from the group consisting of ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymers, LDPE, HDPE, polyamides and polyurethane;B) from 5% to 40% of a polymer or a mixture of elastomeric polymers selected from the group consisting of EPR, EPDM, SEBS block copolymers, SBS block copolymers and ethylene/ethyl acrylate copolymers;C) from 1% to 10% of polypropylene modified with from 1 to 10% of maleic anhydride, isophorone bismaleamic acid or acrylic acid; andD) from 0% to 3% of carbon black.
