  • Patent number: 5549174
Abstract: The instant invention is referred to a recovery system for the dissipated energy of an engine motor vehicle during its running conditions; such a system is substantially formed by the following subsystems:subsystem A: primary cooling systemsubsystem B: secondary cooling systemsubsystem C: exhaust gases circuitsubsystem D: compressed air circuitsubsystem E: braking circuit having an air compressorSuch a system, wherein the thermal energy dissipated during the cooling of the engine motor and the kinetic energy 1/2 mv.sup.2 dissipated during the braking action of the vehicle, are both recovered in form of potential energy represented by compressed air, which is stored in a suitable storage vessel for its later use to produce mechanical energy, implies remarkable advantages, in an absolute sense, for the huge saving of fuel and also for the absence of pollution of the environmental air.

  • Patent number: 5460067
Abstract: A device for performing the continuous cutting of materials of any form and nature, provided they are stratified and not flexionally rigid. The device generally comprises: fixed and mobile support surfaces; a mobile cutting shear cooperating with a fixed cutting shear; a fixed blocking unit on the fixed support surface side of the cutting shears; a mobile blocking unit on the mobile support surface side of the cutting shears; an eccentric for driving mobile portions of the device, including the mobile cutting shear, the eccentric being synchronized with the fixed and mobile blocking units; and a link block and slide guide. Non-rigid, stratified materials thereby may be more easily cut in that the invention substantially reduces or eliminates the dragging effect of the material that typically occurs during the cutting process.

  • Patent number: 5328022
Abstract: Equipment for continuously moving heavy loads in a generally horizontal plane comprising a support structure, cog-wheels carried on the support structure and base elements linked to one another by hinges carried on the cog-wheels and defining a chain. Support and moving wheels support the chain and slide on a slide surface. The cog-wheels have external teeth or projections which cooperate with slots in the support and moving wheels. The load carried by the top surface of the base elements is transferred to the support and moving wheels and then to the support structure. The equipment allows for movement of heavy loads in a generally horizontal plane.

  • Patent number: 5269474
Abstract: The invention concerns equipment for continuous chopping of municipal refuse and other solid wastes in general, consisting of: Section I: refuse collection subsystem, first compaction and conveyance to chopping section; Section II: subsystem for final compaction and chopping ribbon of refuse; Section III: subsystem for collection of chopped refuse and conveyance to landfill sites; Section IV: subsystem for collection and disposal of wastewaters. The equipment permits a ten-to fifteen-fold reduction in the initial volume of the refuse, together with a chopping operation which allows this volume to be maintained and to obtain refuse of a sufficiently uniform size prior to transportation or to disposal in landfill sites.
