  • Patent number: 8799070
Abstract: Techniques for injecting synthetic electronic advertisements into a production electronic advertisement system to test the effectiveness of new categories of electronic advertisement are provided. Synthetic advertisement content may be provided to real users of the production system in order to determine the effectiveness of new electronic advertisements and/or new categories of electronic advertisements. The synthetic advertisements content appears to users to be regular production advertisement that may include navigational element such as a hypertext link and associated text and/or graphics to be displayed in the electronic interface. Statistics regarding the effectiveness of the new electronic advertisements and/or new categories are gathered and may be used to determine which new electronic advertisements and/or new categories of electronic advertisements are effective enough to include in the production system.

  • Patent number: 7969896
Abstract: Method and system for providing network connectivity outage detection for MPLS cores based on service level agreement (SLA) parameters including receiving a service level agreement parameter, determining a probe interval associated with the service level agreement parameter, and performing network connectivity outage detection based on the service level agreement parameter, is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7646731
Abstract: A network management system comprises generic routing encapsulation (GRE) logic configured to establish upon request one or more GRE tunnels from one or more network interfaces; routing protocol logic, coupled to a route database in the apparatus, and configured to operate a network routing protocol and to exchange network route information; network management logic configured to request the GRE logic to establish a particular GRE tunnel from the apparatus to a particular router in the network, to request the routing protocol logic to establish a synchronized route database associated with the apparatus for the particular router using the particular GRE tunnel, to determine whether the synchronized route database is missing one or more particular routes, and to generate a notification message when the synchronized route database is missing the one or more particular routes.

  • Publication number: 20080298229
Abstract: In particular embodiments, receiving a first connectivity fault notification, establishing a predetermined time period when the first connectivity fault notification is received, receiving one or more additional connectivity fault notifications during the predetermined time period, performing a root cause analysis for the connectivity fault notification based on the received first connectivity fault notification, and resolving the first and the one or more additional connectivity fault notifications based on the root cause analysis are provided.
