  • Patent number: 6387305
Abstract: A method for producing a multiplicity of miniature cavities extending from a mold surface for molding a plastic product having features integrally molded with and extending from a product base, and a mold so produced. The mold cavities are formed by depositing multiple layers of plating material on a workpiece in a predetermined pattern selected to produce a desired mold cavity shape. The mold may be in the form of a roll or belt for continuous processing, or in any form for discrete injection molding. The invention is particularly applicable to the production of touch fastener products, such as those with arrays of miniature hooks.

  • Patent number: 6258311
Abstract: A method for producing a multiplicity of fastener element molding cavities extending from a mold surface, for molding a plastic product having fastener elements integrally molded with and extending from a product base, and a mold so produced. The mold cavities are formed by depositing multiple layers of plating material on a workpiece in a predetermined pattern selected to produce a desired mold cavity shape, or by depositing a thick stratum of plating material over an array of fastener elements and then removing the fastener elements to leave shaped cavities within the plating material. The mold may be in the form of a roll or belt for continuous processing, or in any form for discrete injection molding. Molds having fastener element cavities defined by rigid cast materials are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6126384
Abstract: A sheet set feeder receives a stack of offset-jogged sheet sets, including a topmost sheet set and a next-to-topmost sheet set. The feeder separates the topmost sheet set from the remainder of the stack.

  • Patent number: 3972424
Abstract: An automatic wafer loading and pre-alignment system for integrated circuit wafer-mask Aligners. A belt feed track system is employed to transport wafers from a "send" wafer storage carrier to a wafer pre-alignment station. The wafer is machanically pre-aligned with respect to the wafer chuck of the Aligner by means of a roller arm and flat-finder system. After completion of the pre-alignment process, the Aligner turntable is rotated to carry the pre-aligned wafer and chuck to the home position of the turntable and at the same time position another chuck at the pre-alignment station. If the new chuck at the pre-alignment station contains a wafer, the wafer is transported from the chuck to a "receive" wafer storage carrier by means of a belt return track system. The feed and return wafer belt track systems have a common portion between the pre-alignment station and the respective "send" and "receive" wafer storage carriers.
