  • Patent number: 10086219
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to an automatic fluid alarm that provides a fluid-communication path between a secondary fluid source and a whistle port when a primary fluid source experiences a reduction in pressure, the automatic fluid alarm being user resettable by disconnecting the primary fluid source or otherwise reducing the primary source pressure and activating a reset member, thereby interrupting the fluid-communication path. In some examples, a piston member may provide a movable seal for providing the fluid-communication path and its interruption. An exemplary piston member may be slidably reset in a non-interrupting mode by an adequate primary fluid pressure, and slidably set in an interrupting mode by a user activation. The interrupting mode may silence the whistle which may facilitate user communication during what may be a stressful primary fluid source failure event. Some exemplary automatic fluid alarms may conserve secondary fluid when the whistle is silenced.

  • Patent number: 6890006
Abstract: Device for axial maintenance of a cylindrical element, wherein the device includes a coupling bushing comprising external threads, first nut strips which extend axially beyond the external threads, and a first internal pressure surface. A covering nut is provided which includes a second internal pressure surface configured to engage and deform ends of the first nut strips radially indwardly and towards the cylindrical element when the cylindrical element is introduced into the coupling bushing and the covering nut. A sleeve is also provided which includes second nut strips and an external diameter which is at most equal to an internal diameter of the coupling bushing, whereby the sleeve, with the second nut strips being introduced first, is adapted to be introduced into the coupling bushing.

  • Publication number: 20030085575
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for axially retaining a cylindrical element and more particularly a cable (1) comprising a socket (7, 9) with an external thread and extended in the axial direction by clamping plates (9), and an overlapping nut (6) comprising internally a shrunk pressure surface (11) designed to act on the ends of the clamping plates (9) of the socket and radially deform them towards the cylindrical element (1) previously inserted into said socket after passing through said not (6). Said device is in particular characterised in that it further comprises a sleeve (8, 10) likewise provided with clamping plates (10) and whereof the external diameter is not larger than the internal diameter of the socket wherein said sleeve is designed to be inserted starting with said plates (10) with which it is provided, said socket being further internally provided with a shrunk pressure surface (12), designed to act on the sleeve clamping plates (10). In one embodiment, a packing seal is further provided.
