Abstract: An automobile engine starter includes a controller for monitoring the internal temperature of the vehicle and generating a temperature signal when that temperature falls outside a predetermined range. The vehicle is also equipped with a mobile telephone or radio receiver that may receive a signal from a remote location to generate a remote starting signal that may be combined with the temperature signal to start the engine when both signals are present.

Abstract: A programmable electronic 24 hours/7 days timer is operatively connected to various circuits which, in one mode, start or attempt to start the engine at any pre-determined intervals, let it run for a pre-determined time and then switch it off. A thermoswitch arrangement can be incorporated with the timer so that this function may be controlled by temperature rather than timed intervals and can eliminate any day or days, if desired. Further circuitry is provided which enables equipment such as engines, block heaters, interior car warmers, and the like, connected to main voltage, to be switched on and off at pre-determined intervals, if desired.

Abstract: An electronic programmable clock timer permits a program of times to be set so that certain electrical functions either AC or DC, can be operated responsive to the times set. A high and low range temperature selector can be set to turn ON or OFF thus operating certain electrical functions such as heating, cooling, lights, etc. When in the selected operating time range, means are provided to eliminate operation of the device on certain days or within certain time periods. Extensive use is made of I.C. circuitry, including memory circuits, comparator circuits and the like.

Abstract: Conventional crib rockers and the like are operated mechanically by means of an electric motor linkage and a timer mechanism connected to the cradle portion of the crib which is mounted in pivots upon the frame and they are normally switched on and off as required. The present device is electronically actuated and may be connected to a conventional crib which is often manually rocked by pushing and pulling on the foot or headboard to give the slight rocking action desired. The device is preferably actuated by a baby's voice picked up by a microphone or microphones and the periodicity and duration of the rocking may be adjusted within limits. It can also be set into motion by manual actuation of a switch.
