Patent number: 9814630Abstract: Generally, a vaginal insert device used to treat urinary incontinence is disclosed. The vaginal insert device includes a support portion, a stabilizing portion, a removal device, and at least one fluid passageway extending though the support portion. The substantially cylindrical support portion has a distal end and a proximal end. In addition, the support portion has a plurality of foldable areas extending from the distal end to the proximal end. Desirably, the plurality of foldable areas helically curve as the plurality of foldable areas extend from the distal end to the proximal end. The largest outer circumference of the support portion has an insertion diameter when the plurality of foldable areas are compressed and foldable inward and an in-use diameter wherein the plurality of foldable areas are extended outward into a maximum in-use diameter position. Desirably, the in-use diameter is larger than the insertion diameter.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2010Date of Patent: November 14, 2017Assignee: Kimberly-Clark Worldwide, Inc.Inventors: Kimberly Louise Ellefson, Jason Robert Boon, Garry Roland Woltman, MaryAnn Zunker, Patricia Ann Samolinski, Walter George Bauer, Vivian Kate Barad, Nicole Sarah Kahn, Gina Lynn Romero, Elger Oberwelz, James Rolfe Yurchenco, Jonah Lawrence Houston, Tiffany Heather Card, Martin Schnitzer

Patent number: 9022919Abstract: A vaginal insert device including a support portion, a stabilizing portion, a removal device, and at least one fluid passageway extending though the support portion is disclosed. The vaginal insert relaxes in the vagina to deliver outward compression force against the bladder neck via the anterior vaginal wall to assist prevention of urinary stress incontinence. The substantially cylindrical support portion has a distal end, a proximal end, and a hollow interior section with a plurality of struts extending from the distal end to the proximal end. Desirably, the plurality of struts helically curve as the plurality of struts extend from the distal end to the proximal end. The largest circumference of the support portion has an insertion diameter when the plurality of struts are twisted together and an in-use diameter wherein the plurality of struts are extended outward into a convex position larger than the insertion diameter.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2010Date of Patent: May 5, 2015Assignee: Kimberly-Clark Worldwide, Inc.Inventors: Kimberly Louise Ellefson, Jason Robert Boon, Garry Roland Woltman, MaryAnn Zunker, Patricia Ann Samolinski, Walter George Bauer, Vivian Kate Barad, Nicole Sarah Kahn, Gina Lynn Romero, Elger Oberwelz, James Rolfe Yurchenco, Jonah Lawrence Houston, Tiffany Heather Card, Martin Schnitzer

Patent number: 8763262Abstract: A measuring tool is used to measure the shape of a person's body. The tool has a belt and at least one measuring tape attached, which extends perpendicularly to the belt. The tool is held to the person's waist with the belt. While the person is standing, shape measurements are typically made at one or more points based on the measuring tape. This measuring tape extends a length sufficient to include the person's seat and hip, where the shape will be measured, but will generally not be as long as the person's leg or long enough to touch the ground.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 2011Date of Patent: July 1, 2014Assignee: Levi Strauss & Co.Inventors: Susan C. Smith-Habelow, Meghan Donnelly Hetke, Eric Thompson, Bill Smith, Alexandra Levin, Judy Guo, Purin Phanichphant, Jesse Amos Silver, Peter Riering-Czekalla, Gina Lynn Romero, Candice Patricia Tillitt

Publication number: 20110091614Abstract: A container system is described. In one or more implementations, the container system comprises a lower container for receiving a first food component (or components) and an upper container assembly for receiving a second food component (or components) so that the second food component is separated from the first food component. The upper container assembly is configured for engagement with the lower container and is operable to be at least partially opened while the upper container assembly is engaged with the lower container to introduce the second food component into the lower container with the first food component. In one or more embodiments, a pull tab is coupled to the upper container assembly. The pull tab is configured to be pulled while the upper container assembly is engaged with the lower container to at least partially open the upper container assembly.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 16, 2009Publication date: April 21, 2011Applicant: ConAgra Foods RDM, Inc.Inventors: Yolanda A.
