  • Patent number: 11919596
Abstract: A pedal for bicycles comprising a pedal-pin, which extends along a reference axis, and a pedal-body, which is coupled to the pedal-pin in a rotary free manner. An internal chamber is obtained in the pedal-pin and has an internal surface, which extends along the reference axis approximately coaxial to the latter. The pedal further comprises strain gauges, which are configured to detect electrical parameters indicative of the mechanical deformation of the pedal-pin, and an electronic circuit, which is configured to determine, based on the electrical parameters, the mechanical deformation of the pedal-pin. The strain gauges are rigidly fixed on the internal surface of the internal chamber by a thin fixing layer of adhesive material.

  • Patent number: 11794849
Abstract: A pedal for bicycles includes a pedal pin that extends along a reference axis and has a first axial end structured to be coupled to a pedal crank of a bicycle and a second axial end opposite to the first end and a pedal body that comprises a hub coupled in a freely rotatable manner to the pedal pin so as to be able to rotate around the reference axis. On the pedal pin there are at least two inner chambers having a circular section and extending along the reference axis coaxial thereto, a sensor circuit coupled to the pedal pin, an electronic circuit configured to determine the mechanical deformation of the pedal pin, and an electric storage device arranged in an inner chamber.

Abstract: A pedal for bicycles comprising a pedal pin and a pedal body coupled in a freely rotatable manner on the pedal pin. An internal chamber obtained in the pedal pin has an internal surface extending along a reference axis approximately coaxial with the same. The pedal further comprises an electronic measurement system provided with deformation sensors configured to detect electric parameters indicative of the mechanical deformation of the pedal pin, an electronic circuit configured to determine, based on the electric parameters, the mechanical deformation of the pedal pin, and an electric generator which generates electrical power based on the rotation of the pedal body and is arranged in the internal chamber of the pedal pin.

  • Patent number: 11718366
Abstract: A pedal for bicycles comprising: a pedal-pin which extends along a reference axis, a pedal-body that comprises a hub coupled in a freely rotatable manner on the pedal-pin, an electronic measurement circuit firmly coupled to the pedal-pin to provide electrical measurement signals indicative of the deformation of the pedal-pin, a mechanical clamping member comprising: a first clamping element which is arranged on the pedal-pin to rotate around the reference axis and is positioned in abutment against a shoulder of the pedal-pin in order to be axially clamped along said axis), and a second clamping element that firmly couples the hub to the first clamping element so that the hub is axially clamped to the pedal-pin.
