  • Patent number: 8070400
Abstract: A device for the high-speed drilling of boards for printed circuits and the like. The device has a support, a drill head with an associated mandrel, and a member for locking and driving a drill bit in the mandrel. The mandrel is actuated by a compressed air turbine and has an optical encoder for encoding the speed of rotation of the turbine and generating a signal representing this speed. The signal is supplied to a control circuit in order to drive a proportional valve supplying compressed air to the turbine as a function of the speed of rotation encoded by the optical encoder.

  • Publication number: 20090151968
Abstract: A device for the high-speed drilling of boards for printed circuits and the like comprising a support (2), a drill head (11) with associated mandrel (12), and a device for locking and driving a bit (13) in the mandrel, wherein the mandrel is actuated by a compressed air turbine (33) and comprises means (40) for encoding the speed of rotation of the turbine adapted to generate a signal representing this speed, this signal being supplied to a control circuit (61) in order to drive a proportional valve (62) disposed in the circuit supplying compressed air to the turbine as a function of the speed of rotation encoded by the encoder means (40).

  • Publication number: 20090087271
Abstract: A device for the high-speed drilling of boards for printed circuits and the like. The device has a support, a drill head with an associated mandrel and a workpiece-pressing device mounted on the support, which can be displaced relative thereto towards and away from the board to be drilled. At least one actuator is interposed between the support, the drill head and/or the workpiece-pressing device in order to move the drill head and the workpiece-pressing device with respect to the support. The workpiece-pressing device may be displaced on the support independently from the drill head.
