    Abstract: The device comprises: at least one continuous flexible suction conveyor (13) which is equipped with openings (13A) and which conveys the articles (R) along a transfer path from an article feeder (41) to an article receiver (45; 47), a discharge point for the trimmings being provided along the transfer path; and a suction system (3) which is associated with the conveyor (13) and which generates a suction through the openings along said transfer path. At least one obturator element (33A; 33B; 33X, 33Y), which is movable along said transfer path and which temporarily closes the openings of the conveyor opposite the trimming or trimmings, is provided.
