  • Patent number: 7733023
Abstract: A manufacturing process for the production of plasma display panels is provided which allows obtaining in a simple way displays in which getter materials deposits are present in contact with the atmosphere present in channels or cells of the display. The process includes a step of forming the getter material deposits on a free surface of the magnesium oxide layer at positions essentially corresponding to contact areas between the front glass panel and the barriers on the rear glass panel of the display panel.

  • Publication number: 20100104450
Abstract: There are described dispensers (10; 20; 30; 40; 50; 60) of alkali or alkaline-earth metals, comprising deposits of getter materials (13; 23; 33; 43; 53; 63) and alkali or alkaline-earth metal sources (12, 22; 32; 42; 53; 63), in which the sources of alkali or alkaline-earth metal are protected from environmental gases by said deposits of getter materials.

  • Publication number: 20080312072
Abstract: A gas sorbing system is formed by gas sorbing components which are dispersed in a polymeric matrix which is porous or permeable to the gases to be sorbed. The gas sorbing components include a central nucleus, selected among a silica particle, polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane and a spherosilicate, to which there are bound at least one organic or metalorganic radical carrying a functional group, which is able to chemically fix the gas to be sorbed, and at least one anchoring organic radical including a chain of carbon atoms, which has the functionality of fixing the nucleus in the matrix polymer.

  • Publication number: 20080226902
Abstract: Getter systems are provided including one or more deposits of getter materials, wherein at least one of the deposits is in contact with a layer of a material having H2O transport properties.

  • Publication number: 20080210901
Abstract: Getter systems are provided having a phase being active in the sorption of gas inserted in the pores of a porous material. The porous material is, in turn, dispersed in a polymeric means that is permeable to the gas to be sorbed.

  • Publication number: 20080200332
Abstract: Getter systems are provided having a phase active in the sorption of gas, inserted in the pores of a porous material. The porous material is, in turn, dispersed in a polymeric means having a low permeability to the gas to be sorbed.

  • Patent number: 6851997
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for depositing a calcium getter thin film inside a system operating under vacuum. The process comprises the steps of introducing into the system under vacuum at least one evaporable getter device with an air-stable calcium compound. The system is evacuated until a pressure value P1 is reached. The system is then heated up to the calcium evaporation temperature of the stable compound. The system evacuation continues until a pressure value P2, which is lower than P1, is reached and the system is sealed. In a preferred embodiment, the heating step separates the two evacuation steps.
