A mullion is attached to the liner and includes a forward portion. The forward portion includes a second air-deflection surface. The fan is configured to direct air toward the first and second sidewalls and the top wall of the freezer compartment and subsequently toward the first and second air-deflection surfaces.

The heat loop is positioned within the heating chase and extends to the machine compartment.
