  • Patent number: 8301429
Abstract: Computer-implemented iterative multi-scale methods and systems are provided for handling simulation of complex, highly anisotropic, heterogeneous domains. A system and method can be configured to achieve simulation of structures where accurate localization assumptions do not exist. The iterative system and method smoothes the solution field by applying line relaxation in all spatial directions. The smoother is unconditionally stable and leads to sets of tri-diagonal linear systems that can be solved efficiently, such as by the Thomas algorithm. Furthermore, the iterative smoothing procedure, for the improvement of the localization assumptions, does not need to be applied in every time step of the computation.

  • Patent number: 6511024
Abstract: Switch box for railway, tramway, points or similar, of the so called english type i.e. having four or more blades comprising a drive unit (M, 3, 4, 5, 5′, 5″, 5′″, 6) of the transfer motion of the blades (A1, A1′, A2, A2′) of the switch, and at least one group (12, 18, 120, 21, 24) of linear transmission of the drive motion to the blades, movable means (24, 124) to lock the blades in their respective position of closure. According to the invention, the said groups are housed in a box (1) which has substantially the dimensions and the shape of a sleeper and that is fitted in the track in place of and with the function of a sleeper.

  • Patent number: 6454221
Abstract: Switch box for railway, tramway, or similar comprising a drive unit (M, 3, 4, 5, 5′, 5″, 5′″, 6) for the shifting motion of the blades (A1, A1′, A2, A2′) and at least one group of linear transmission (12, 20, 21, 24) of the drive motion to the blades, movable device (24, 124) to lock the blades in their respective closed positions. The groups are housed in a box (1) which has substantially the dimensions and the shape of a sleeper and which is fitted in the track in place of and with the function of a sleeper. The switch box has movable device (23, 24, 124) to lock the blades (A1, A1′, A2, A2′) in their corresponding closed positions.
