  • Patent number: 5794262
Abstract: There is described a fire-proof protective outfit for activities involving a risk of burns.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 25, 1996
Date of Patent: August 18, 1998
    Assignee: Prometeo S.p.A.

  • Patent number: 5172426
Abstract: A protective fireproof outfit includes an overall garment in combination with an undershirt and hood. The overall garment is comprised of an outer fabric layer of fireproof yarn and a plurality of mesh liner portions sewn in the outer layer in those areas requiring greater protection. At least one layer of netting and one or more additional layers of lining may also be secured in areas requiring greater protection. The lining material is also made of fireproof yarn and all layers of material are highly permeable to the passage of air to facilitate the transfer of heat. The hood and undershirt may also be of mesh fireproof material with selected lining portions of fireproof material, all of which are highly permeable to the passage of air.

  • Patent number: 5102492
Abstract: A method and apparatus is described for polymerization of adhesive interposed between two superimposed elements, in particular the outer and inner plastics material panels of a motor vehicle body door element; two superimposed elements are clamped, around respective portions thereof between which an adhesive substance is interposed, between respective regions of a mould and a presser device which match the profile of the said portions and are provided with internal heating devices; the heating regions of the mould are rigidly supported thereby whilst the heating regions of the presser device are defined by rods which are independently axially slidable against the action of resilient biasing means; the presser device is compressed with a predetermined pressure against the mould and, simultaneously, heat is introduced in a differentiated manner from region to region by the internal heating devices.

  • Patent number: 4698483
Abstract: An industrial robot with five degrees of freedom comprises a plurality of mirrors and internal ducts for guiding a laser beam intended for use in welding or cutting metal parts. The laser guide system is intended for installation with the minimum of adaptation on industrial robots used, for example, for resistance welding.

  • Patent number: 4250011
Abstract: An electrode tool for the electrochemical machining of metal components, such as the cavities of internal combustion engine valves, is adapted for mounting on a machine tool mandrel and comprises a shaft upon which a flexible, elongate electrode is axially slidable, and which defines axially a conduit for conveying electrolytic fluid to the workpiece. The working end of the tool is constituted by a releasable electrode guide head which defines a part-circularly-curved electrode guide passage and the end portions of the conduit. The guide passage guides the axial sliding of the electrode so that an end portion of the latter projects radially relative to the axis of the tool by an angle determined by the radius of curvature of the passage. The guide head is interchangeable with at least one other guide head having a passage with a different radius of curvature.
