  • Patent number: 7658384
Abstract: A method of playing a game. A face of a die may be selected, and a marker may be moved to a position on a game board according to the face selected. A request for a player response may be selected from a set of text-based requests, and an interval associated with the player response may be timed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 15, 2007
Date of Patent: February 9, 2010
    Assignee: Mattel, Inc.
Inventors: Glen Nakamoto, Jeannie Burns Hardie

  • Publication number: 20040227287
Abstract: A die-rolling device for directing game play. The die-rolling device may include an integral timing mechanism that distinctly signals an endpoint of a measured time interval. Furthermore, the die-rolling device may include a die bearing two distinct visual indicators on individual faces of the die. The two distinct visual indicators may correspond to a member of a set of opposites and a distinct output, such as a numerical response.

  • Patent number: 6595385
Abstract: A game apparatus includes a figure having a head supporting a rotating plate and a torso supported upon a base. The torso defines a token dispensing passage in communication with the head and further supports a pivotably moveable arm. The arm is pivotable between a raised position and a lowered position against a return spring which urges it toward its raised position. A gear mechanism is operable in response to downward movement of the arm against the return spring to rotate the plate within the figures head and agitate a plurality of disc-like tokens received within the head chamber. A single token is discharged through the torso and outwardly through the door formed in the figures torso to complete token dispensing. The arm is released and the cycle repeated by each player to dispense game tokens.
