Abstract: 2,6-Diarylpiperidin-1-yl substituted 2-butene stabilizers of the formula I or IIT--CH.sub.2 --CH.dbd.CH--CH.sub.2 --T (I)T--CH.sub.2 --CH.dbd.CH--CH.sub.2 --N(E.sub.1)(E.sub.2) (II)where T is a 2,6-diarylpiperidin-1-yl moiety and E.sub.1 and E.sub.2 are independently alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl, are effective in stabilizing organic materials against the deleterious effects of oxygen, heat and actinic radiation.

Abstract: 1-Hydroxy-2,6-diaryl-4-piperidone ketal derivatives, such as the compound of formula I ##STR1## wherein Ar.sub.1 and Ar.sub.2 are each phenyl, R.sub.1 to R.sub.6 are all hydrogen, X.sub.1 and X.sub.2 are each --O-- and T is a direct bond, are novel compounds and are effective process stabilizers, such as polypropylene, for polymers processed at elevated tempertures providing both good melt flow stabilization and good resistance against discoloration during said processing.

Abstract: A compound having the following formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is --N.sup.+ H.sub.3 as found in claim 1 and R.sup.2 is either the same as F.sup.1 or hydrogen. "A" is an oxidizing anion, and X is selected to provide a neutral charge balance for the compound. A method of making a compound of the indicated structure from a compound of similar structure by an anion exchange process is also disclosed. Finally, propellant formulations incorporating the novel compounds of the present invention as fuels and oxidizers are disclosed.
