  • Patent number: 9644654
Abstract: Devices and methods for a setscrew device. An elongated cylindrical rod has a first threaded portion with a first diameter and a continuous spiraling thread, an unthreaded shank portion with a second diameter, and a second threaded portion having the second diameter and a continuous spiraling thread. The second diameter is smaller than the first diameter. The unthreaded shank portion is located between the first threaded portion and the second threaded portion forming a step. A bias element is disposed on the step and surrounds the second threaded portion. A compression element is threaded onto the second threaded portion and operatively connected to the bias element.

  • Patent number: 9184522
Abstract: A latch apparatus for retaining a flexible circuit cable within a receptacle mounted on a circuit board comprises a latch body having a second planar side comprising opposing alignment pins positioned at a first edge and a second edge of the body. A second end of the body comprises alignment protrusions extending from the second end in a first direction. The second end also comprises clamping protrusions extending from the second end in the first direction. The clamping protrusions are a distance from the alignment protrusions equal to a thickness of the circuit board. A latch member extends from the second end. The latch member comprises a linear clip surface extending from the latch in a direction perpendicularly away from the second planar side, and the linear clip surface runs in a second direction and has a length less than a width of the receptacle.

  • Patent number: 5730535
Abstract: A printing system for producing a print job, the printing system including a print engine for imaging regular substrates, fed to the print engine from a regular substrate feeding apparatus and delivering the imaged regular substrates to an output; and a duplexer operatively coupled to the print engine having a first path for feeding imaged regular substrates to the print engine for duplex printing, the duplexer having a second, sheet insertion, path for feeding special sheets to the output of imaged regular substrates.

  • Patent number: 5600418
Abstract: A donor roll for transporting marking particles to an electrostatic latent image recorded on a surface is provided. The donor roll is adaptable for use with a power source to assist in transporting the marking particles. The donor roll includes a rotatably mounted body having a particle transportation portion, a support portion adjacent the particle transportation portion, and an external portion adjacent the support portion and spaced from the particle transportation portion. The donor roll further includes an electrode member mounted on the body and an electrical connector associated with the support portion of the body and electrically connected to the electrode member. The electrical connector is adapted to be electrically connectable to the power source.

  • Patent number: 5568246
Abstract: In a dual engine printing system producing a multipage print job from first and second serially connected printing engines at a common output from the second engine, where the second printing engine has a duplex return path bypassing its printing path and extending substantially therethrough, a high productivity simplex job printing mode is provided in which alternate pages are substantially simultaneously printed in both the first and second printing engines, but the alternate pages printed in the first printing engine are fed to the second printing engine duplex return path to bypass the printing path of the second printing engine and then are automatically interleaved in the common output with the alternate pages printed in the second printing engine. The duplex return path is preferably a bidirectional loop extending above the printing path and driven in a reverse sheet feeding direction for this simplex printing.

  • Patent number: 5317377
Abstract: A printer capable of producing simplex and duplex copies includes a tri-roller inverter that employs a passive deflector gate downstream from input and output nips of the tri-roller inverter. A sheet driven by the input nip into a reversing chute of the inverter deflects the passive deflector gate to an open position that allows the sheet to enter the inversion chute and after the sheet is past the gate it returns to close deposition, thus allowing the sheet to be driven past it in reverse by a reversing roller. Once the lead edge of the reversed sheet passes the passive deflector gate, a second sheet enters the input nip resulting in two sheets being in the inverter at the same time.

  • Patent number: 5221950
Abstract: An idler roller assembly that prevents jams and image deletion in copier/printers by removing any corrugation in sheets before they reach sharp turns includes a shaft onto which idler rollers are mounted with the shaft having a bend in the middle in order to provide a "toe out" condition to steer out any existing sheet corrugation. An alignment member is attachable to the shaft in order to prevent mis-installation of the shaft in its mounting support.
