    Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for generating a report that summarizes performance of a network based on actual network performance data formatted according to the RADIUS protocol. A network access server generates and stores RADIUS accounting information. An archiver, operating under the control of archive configuration control information, and stores it in archive data. A report generator reads the archive data, under control of report configuration control information, and generates a report. The report configuration control information specifies a report type (accumulate values, count values, or determine a maximum value); one or more categories of RADIUS attributes that are to be accumulated, counted, or otherwise reported; and a title and related information.
