Abstract: When viewing a document, a user may switch between detailed reading of the document, and glancing at the structure of the document, in a single smooth flow of actions. In one example, a document is shown with a navigation bar that has a thumb. Before the user clicks the thumb, the document is shown at its current position at a first zoom level. When the user clicks and holds the thumb, the current page of the document is shown at a second zoom level, which may be a full-page zoom level at which an entire page of the document fits in the viewing area. The user may drag the thumb, thereby changing the current page being shown at the second zoom level. When the use releases the thumb, the current page may be shown at the first zoom level.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and media are provided for using a calculator application to calculate answer values by evaluating formulas based on user input. The calculator application is hosted by an operating system and includes a template store containing templates that define user interface elements such as input fields associated with variables. The templates also have embodied therein formulae that define relationships between the variables. A user-interface, generated from information in a template, is provided to a user that includes input fields for receiving values to be associated with variables. Answer values are calculated by evaluating the formulae based on user input.

Abstract: A system and method for enabling sharing of devices on a network is disclosed. The technology includes a method for enabling sharing of non-network enabled devices on a network. The method includes detecting a non-network enabled device locally coupled to a first computer system, the first computer system coupled to the network. The method for enabling sharing of non-network enabled devices on a network also includes enabling a second computer system coupled to the network to access the non-network enabled device by using the first computer system as a communication interface between the non-network enabled device and the second computer system.
