  • Patent number: 11216861
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating social networking recommendations. A color preference of a first user may be determined from a color palette of a first image associated with the user and/or a color palette of an item associated with the user. Other users may be identified that have a similar color preference as the first user based at least in part on the determined color preference of the first user. Interactions between the first user and one or more other users having similar color preferences with respect to the first user may be facilitated. A social networking recommendation may be generated with respect to the one or more other users having similar color preferences with respect to the first user.

  • Patent number: 10417356
Abstract: Features are disclosed for dynamically generating enhanced content showing an item to simulate a physics property of the item via an interaction that will initiate such interactive features. A physics model may be generated to enhance existing content. To generate the physics model, the system analyzes the content such as to detect a feature of the item (e.g., zipper on a clothing item or button on an electronic device item) shown in the content. Some aspects also consider the access device rendering the enhanced content to ensure the enhanced content is appropriately selected and formatted for presentation via the access device.

  • Patent number: 10366528
Abstract: The display of 3D-representations involves navigation and interaction with users engaged with the display. Points of interest (POIs), as applied to areas of interest for a 3D-representation, are anchored to the 3D-representation on the display and are moveable in synchrony with the 3D-representation navigation. POIs are presented in which interactive actions are associated with the POIs. When a user selects one of the interactive actions associated with a POI, the selection can prompt the display of a new 3D-representation of an item related to the 3D-representation to which the POI is anchored, thereby improving access and analysis about information for related items.

  • Patent number: 10255295
Abstract: Systems and methods are described that validate color information in metadata associated with an image. Color information associated with images, in metadata, may need to be validated because there may be mistakes in the metadata. Color names associated with colors may be based on human generated data or human surveys. Individual colors may be extracted from images, which may be associated with the color names. Furthermore, the color names may be retrieved from a data store via a fast index color search. The color information in the metadata may be validated against the color names.

  • Patent number: 10203847
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating a perspective view of item images and/or determining collections of similar items. For example, a set and/or collection of item images may be presented in a perspective view. One or more options may be selected by a user to update the set and/or collection of items and/or images. An updated set and/or collection may be determined, for example, by clustering the items and/or comparing items with the base item. One or more dimensions and/or attributes may be used to cluster and/or graph the items to determine new collections of items.

  • Patent number: 10186054
Abstract: Systems and methods are described that recommend images, items, and/or metadata based at least in part on a reference color palette or reference color name. A color name can be converted into a representation of the color name in a color space. The reference color can be used to identify images that contain the reference color. The identified images and associated metadata can be analyzed, sorted and provided as an ordered list of items. Systems and methods are also described that identify items that contain colors affiliated with the reference color. Systems and methods are also described that validate color identifier information in metadata associated with an image. Systems and methods are also described that identify non-color specific keywords associated with the reference color.

  • Patent number: 10049466
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating color names for colors corresponding to images and/or palettes. A color image is obtained, and one or more color palettes corresponding to the color image are identified. The color palette may be generated based on palette generation criteria, which may facilitate or control a palette generation process. Illustratively, the palette generation process may include image pre-processing, color distribution generation, representative color identification, palette candidate generation, and palette determination. A color name for each color identified in the color palette and/or the color image can be identified based at least in part on color name popularity information. Color name popularity information may be identified from color name-related voting results provided by a social network site.

  • Patent number: 10019143
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining a principal image from a collection of images presented in a perspective view. A perspective view of images may be interactive and/or images may simultaneously increase or decrease in size in response to user interaction. Methods and/or techniques may be used to determine a principal image from a set of images based on a direction, speed, and/or velocity of movement or user interaction. A principal image in the perspective view may be the largest currently presented image and/or may be presented at the forefront to the user. Furthermore, an animation and/or video may be presented to the user following a determination of a principal image and/or after a configurable period of time without subsequent user interaction, which may further highlight or bring attention to a particular item to the user.

  • Patent number: 10008021
Abstract: Among other things, one or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for rendering imagery that compensates for parallax. Image data may comprise a sequence of images of a location, collected at known intervals (e.g., distances), such as along a path. The image data can comprise a first layer comprising a first depth, and a second layer comprising a second depth, that is different from the first depth. The image data can be composed into resulting imagery, where the first layer is composed at the first depth and the second layer is composed at the second depth. The resulting imagery can be rendered to compensate for, or rather make use of, parallax, such that the first layer is rendered at a first movement speed, based at least upon the first depth, and the second layer is rendered at a second movement speed, based at least upon the second depth.

  • Patent number: 9959437
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for making ordinary objects network-enabled interfaces. A radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag may be fixed or detachably attached to an item capable of being manipulated by a person to obtain information about the item or to cause a performance of a task associated with the item. The RFID tag may include a capacitive touch interface that, when manipulated by a person, causes the RFID tag to emit an identifier associated with a corresponding item. A receiver, having the identifier and an instruction from a person, may communicate with a remote computing device to process the instruction and to generate a response to the instruction.

  • Patent number: 9715865
Abstract: A projection equipped computing device is described that projects an accurate representation of an item available for purchase from an electronic marketplace onto a projection surface. For example, the device may identify physical dimensions of an item from an image of the item. The device may then determine the distance between it and the projection surface and project a light beam toward the projection surface to form a representation of the item on the projection surface. The representation of the item formed on projection surface has representative dimensions that mimic, at the determined distance, the physical dimensions of the item as identified from the image of the item. Accordingly, the user of the device can envision how the item would appear in a space located relative to the projection surface if the user purchased the item from the electronic marketplace and placed the item in that space.
