  • Patent number: 11944759
Abstract: In some examples a catheter includes an inner liner, an outer jacket, and a structural support member positioned between at least a portion of the inner liner and at least a portion of the outer jacket. A first portion of the structural support member has a first residual stress and a second portion of the structural support member has a second residual stress, greater than the first residual stress. The second portion of the structural support member includes a percent cold work greater than about 20%.

Date of Patent: April 2, 2024
    Assignee: Covidien LP
Inventors: Syamala Rani Pulugurtha, Gopan Patel, Ujwal Jalgaonkar
  • Publication number: 20230131648
Abstract: A clot retrieval device featuring a capturing basket coupled to a delivery shaft. The capturing basket is deployable to the side of a clot in a blood vessel. The capturing basket is configured to allow for the clot to ingress into the capturing basket and surround at least a portion of the clot. The capturing basket can be torqued by torquing at the proximal end of the catheter resulting in the rotation of the capturing basket about its longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 11498165
Abstract: Treatment of aneurysms can be improved by delivering an occlusive member (e.g., an expandable braid) to an aneurysm sac in conjunction with an embolic element (e.g., coils, embolic material). A delivery system for such treatment can include an occlusive member configured to be positioned within an aneurysm sac and having a proximal hub. An elongate tubular member has an engagement member removably coupled to the proximal hub, for example via threaded engagement or an interference fit via one or more engagement members. A conduit extending within or adjacent to the elongated member is configured to receive an embolic element therethrough for delivery to the aneurysm sac.

  • Publication number: 20220323246
Abstract: A stent delivery system can include a core member having a distal portion, where the distal portion is configured to be positioned within a lumen of the stent; a cover having a first end portion coupled to the distal portion of the core member and a free second end portion, the cover having (a) a first position in which the second end portion of the cover is configured to at least partially surround a proximal end portion of the stent while the stent is positioned over the core member in a compressed state, and (b) a second position in which the second end portion of the cover is uncoupled from the stent; and a shoulder coupled to the distal portion of the core member at a location distal to the first end portion of the cover, the shoulder configured to abut the proximal end portion of the stent.

  • Patent number: 11305387
Abstract: An aneurysm treatment system can include an occlusive member configured to be positioned within an aneurysm sac, and a distal conduit coupled to the occlusive member and having a first lumen extending therethrough. A proximal conduit has a second lumen extending therethrough and is positioned adjacent the distal conduit so that the first lumen is in fluid communication with the second lumen. A coupler extends between the distal conduit and the proximal conduit. The coupler may be ruptured to permit the proximal conduit and the distal conduit to be separated from one another.
