  • Patent number: 10436355
Abstract: A duct of fiber material and binder agent, at least two fold lines are present lengthwise for providing a foldability of the duct by weakened material along the fold lines. The duct is pushable into a folded state and the material remembers the original shape and return to its original shape when released from a folded state. A method of manufacturing a duct: applying a web of origin fiber material with binder agent to a core and compressing the web by an outside form under the influence of heat against the core, wherein the core and/or the outside form is provided with a number of lengthwise ridges corresponding to the desired number of fold lines, to a third of the original thickness of the sides and at the ridges a tenth to a twentieth of the original thickness, and in that the fiber and binder agent web weighs 1.5-3 kg/m2.

  • Patent number: 9618144
Abstract: A duct includes a number of wall sections which are at least partly produced from fiber material and a binder agent. Together, the wall sections define a closed, elongate flow space. The wall sections which meet one another are united by the intermediary of at least one longitudinal fold or joint line. In the fiber material and the binder agent of the duct, there are disposed longitudinal rigidifying elements. On the outside of the duct, there are longitudinal bead-liked projections which include the fiber material and the binder agent.

  • Patent number: 9273881
Abstract: A connecting piece for a duct such as a ventilation duct is provided and includes an inner flow space in communication with the interior of the duct, the connecting piece having at least one joining portion on which an end region of the duct is slidable and fixable. The connecting piece includes a compressed fiber material and a binder. The connecting piece displays a substantially configurationally stable portion in association with the joining portion, and the connecting piece displays, at least interiorly, a layer which is impervious to a fluid, in particular a gas, this layer being adjacent the inner flow space of the connecting piece.

  • Publication number: 20140227468
Abstract: A ventilation duct includes a refractory fibre material and binder agent and has longitudinal wall sections and longitudinal fold- or joint lines located there between. The wall sections between the fold- or joint lines have longitudinal, thickened and outwardly bulging portions in which longitudinal rigidifying dements are disposed. A method of manufacturing the ventilation duct includes manufacturing the duct in the planar, spread-out state, wherein the wail sections which are located along opposing edges of the spread-out duct, are given a configuration which corresponds the configuration of half of the other wall sections, whereby the duct, after raising to the intended configuration, is given a longitudinal joint where the half wall sections meet one another.

  • Publication number: 20110155275
Abstract: A duct element (1) for an air flow or for a gas flow and a method for manufacturing, handling and mounting the duct element (1). The novel duct will replace ducts of steel and thus have enough restraint towards flexure to be hung without any substantial flexure in connection to a mounting procedure. The advantages are a substantial reduction in price per meter of duct installed, and it makes manufacturing, handling and mounting easier as well as transportation and storing as the duct (1) can be folded or rolled in a flattened and space saving condition. The duct (1) can be bent in a mounted position, i.e. be allowed to be changed in direction having a minimum radius of about 1000 mm.

  • Publication number: 20100087135
Abstract: A method and a throttling device to control an air flow in a channel (1) or in a channel system. The air flow is brought to pass at least a first channel portion having a successively tapering channel cross section area being formed by a adjustable throttling device (4) in the channel, the air thereafter is led to an other channel portion having a cross section with an increased throttling formed by the adjustable throttling device, to continue flowing in the channel portion with the increased throttling over a distance being considerably longer than the distance between the outer wall of the throttling device and the inner wall of the of the channel portion to thereafter leave the second channel portion with the increased throttling at a third channel portion and be transferred into the not throttled channel.

  • Patent number: 5829210
Abstract: A method of preparing an installation of channel using units in several rooms on the one and same floor so as to allow a subsequent completion of units with multiple channel elements. Onto a flooring support between a distributing central unit and the rooms on the floor, the flexible channel elements which are enclosed in an exterior casing, are enclosed. These channel elements are a) a separate channel or conduit for the flow of a hot or cold brine to and from radiators in the rooms, b) channels for supplying electricity and/or for communicating with the units; and c) a channel space for fresh air between the elements. The floor is then finished to cover the multiple channel elements.
