  • Patent number: 4299435
Abstract: A receptacle for replaceably holding a replaceable fuse in an electrical circuit includes a forwardly inwardly tapered tubular member closed at its front end by a contact-defining metal cap and provided at its rear end with an internally threaded enlarged section, a contact-defining metal collar telescoping the rear of the tapered tube forward of the enlarged section and having a terminal tab projecting outwardly through an opening in the enlarged section. An externally threaded closure plug separably engages the tubular member threaded section and has in its front face a well whose axis is transversely offset from the plug axis and whose peripheral face is rearwardly inwardly tapered. A transversely crescent shaped wedge member projects forwardly from the well border and is integrally formed with the plug and has a tapered inside face coplanar with the well peripheral face.

  • Patent number: 4265984
Abstract: A battery housing formed of at least two sections. Two means of terminating the housing are associated with the housing. One means includes a terminal member and a conductive element. The element is substantially the same length as the housing. The second means includes a contact plate attached to the top cell in the housing. An aperture is provided through the housing and terminal member to permit a connector to reach the contact plate. The housing includes an integrally formed conduit which electrically insulates the conductive element.

  • Patent number: 4224385
Abstract: A battery case which expands to accommodate expansion of individual cells therein while maintaining structural integrity. The case comprises an open ended cell holder with a sleeve thereon covering the open end of said cell holder. The cell holder and the sleeve are adhered to each other by an elastomeric adhesive.

  • Patent number: 4186983
Abstract: A connector for use in electrically connecting a battery, having substantially planar terminals on a wall thereof, to an electrical device. The connector comprises a housing partially containing conductive means which extend from the housing to contact the battery terminals and the electrical device. The connector further includes resilient gripping means on the housing which cooperatively engages holding means on the battery with a snap on connection.

  • Patent number: 4091187
Abstract: A battery cartridge having a hollow case of minimum thickness, weight and dimensions, with minimum excess over the minimum weight and volume dimensions of the contained battery cells; with simple arrangement for assembling battery terminals that are extendable to a space outside of the case to permit easy welding operation, and are then foldable back into the case to be completely covered and disposed within the case, when the case is closed and sealed to protect the battery cells. Open spaces in a wall of the cover of the case, provide windows for access to the terminals of the battery cells, for engagement by pressure contacts external of the case and connected to an external circuit to which the battery energy is to be supplied.

  • Patent number: 3967979
Abstract: A battery case for containing several cells as a battery, and having battery terminals, within the case contour and accessible through windows, to be engaged by external receiving terminals of an apparatus to be served; with the battery terminals arranged to apply proper polarity, whether the case is applied right side up, or in inverted mode, at random.

  • Patent number: RE28948
Abstract: A battery cartridge having a hollow shell case with walls of minimum thickness, and of minimum weight and dimensions, over the minimum weight and volume dimensions of the contained battery cells, for use in portable devices such as radios, cameras, computers and the like, to thereby limit the space requirements of the cartridge and to limit the weight in excess of the cell weights.
