  • Patent number: 4767241
Abstract: The method of forming footings and piers in concrete construction includes excavating to accommodate placement of a two-part mold. The upper mold part is for the pier and interfits and communicates with the lower footing mold so that both may be poured at the same time through the upper pier part.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: August 30, 1988
    Inventor: Gordon T. Wells
  • Patent number: 4673157
Abstract: A one-time-use form for concrete footings comprises a hollow plastic molding with a step-tapered upper portion, sections of which are removable to receive different sizes or shapes of one-time-use pier forms. Use of the two forms in concert permits substantial economy in foundation work because only one excavation, backfill and concrete pouring is required to construct both footings and piers.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 13, 1985
Date of Patent: June 16, 1987
