  • Publication number: 20240168460
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including medium-encoded computer program products, for computer aided design of physical structures include, in at least one aspect, a fully automatic method of converting a generative design into an editable, watertight B-Rep by leveraging the generative solver input and representation to: (1) embed the exact input solid boundary surfaces where the design coincides with the input, (2) approximate everywhere else the design boundary with globally smooth, editable “organic” surfaces, and (3) join all surfaces to form a generative design output B-Rep.

  • Publication number: 20120234666
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for the evaporation and condensation of water by utilizing latent heat of condensation and solar heating is provided. Various embodiments include a module that may be associated with a body of water and incorporate first and second dendritically liquid receiving channels, a dome, a lower chamber and an upper chamber. The first channel conducts water from the body of water to a reservoir located within the module. The second channel is in heat exchange relationship with the first liquid receiving channel and conducts water from the reservoir to the exterior of the module below the reservoir. The dome encloses the top of the reservoir and forms a vaporization chamber. An exit drain in the vaporization chamber leads to a collection channel for conducting demineralized condensate out of the module. Still other embodiments utilize at least two membrane layers having a plurality of dendritically-configured and/or nested channels.

  • Patent number: 7088227
Abstract: An alarm for a hydraulic system, a hydraulic system incorporating an alarm, a vehicle having a hydraulic system which incorporates an alarm, and a method of giving an alarm in a hydraulic system, where the hydraulic system comprises hydraulic fluid which is put in contact with a pressure detector, the pressure detector being for giving a signal in response to a condition of the hydraulic fluid in the hydraulic system. An alarm generator integral with said pressure detector is provided for giving an audible alarm in response to a said signal.
