  • Patent number: 8032536
Abstract: A system and method are provided for enabling telephone users to place information on a network that is accessible by a variety of devices from disparate communication protocols are provided. A telecommunications network provides access to one or more servers to one or more customers. A customer that is provided access to the server is enabled to create a basis of operations called a phonesite. The phonesite is constructed and arranged to allow read, write, and execute privileges to the customer and to those designated by the customer. Files and other information on the phonesite can be accessed and edited from, for example, a standard telephone, a personal computer, a personal digital assistant, a web cam, an instant message client, and the like. Customers are given a single number with which to access the phonesite, or to allow others to access the phonesite.

  • Patent number: 7991886
Abstract: An individual-centric Internet is provided with a personal base process on a computer system. The computer system is equipped with multiple nodes that are interconnected to facilitate the communication between the nodes. The personal base service includes a personal base instance that is typically in software on at least one of the nodes of the computer system, such as a network. The personal base instance is designed to communicate with a user by any digital or analog device, such as a telephone, personal computer, personal digital assistant, or the like. A personal base server is instantiated on at least one of the nodes on the computer system and is in operative communication with the personal base instance. The personal base server is used to communicate with other personal bases or other nodes on the computer system or network in order to insulate the user from other elements of the computer system.

  • Patent number: 6109710
Abstract: A chassis cover for a host unit of a computer system is disclosed. The chassis cover is preferably capable of covering a chassis which includes mountings for components which are movable in a direction. The chassis cover includes a first surface, and a movable side door having a closed position and an open position. The side door provides an opening in the chassis cover when in the open position to permit the mountings to be extended toward the opening when the side door is in the open position. By permitting the mountings to be extended toward an opening provided by the side door, the components within the host unit may be accessed and serviced without removing a heavy display monitor.
