  • Patent number: 8884998
Abstract: A display includes: a display section that includes first pixels to nth pixels and displays perspective images assigned to the first to nth pixels; and a display control section that partitions the display section into sub-regions and performs display control on pixels in each of the sub-regions, independently, to vary a correspondence relationship between the first to nth pixels and the perspective images for each of the sub-regions. The display control section assigns a first perspective image to two pixels of the first pixel to the nth pixel and assigns a second perspective image to other two pixels of the first pixel to the nth pixel, in each of the sub-regions. The display control section adjusts a luminance level of one or both of the two pixels and a luminance level of one or both of the other two pixels in each of the sub-regions.

  • Patent number: 8879824
Abstract: A three-dimensional sense adjusting unit displays three-dimensional images to a user. If a displayed reaches a limit of parallax, the user responds to the three-dimensional sense adjusting unit. According to acquired appropriate parallax information, a parallax control unit generates parallax images to realize the appropriate parallax in the subsequent stereo display. The control of parallaxes is realized by optimally setting camera parameters by going back to three-dimensional data. Functions to realize the appropriate parallax are made into and presented by a library.

  • Publication number: 20130249896
Abstract: A method of displaying three-dimensional stereoscopic image includes displaying N viewpoint images on N sub-pixels, emitting the N viewpoint images through a dynamic conversion panel on which a emission unit is defined, controlling a sub-area to emit the N viewpoint images onto N×M viewpoint positions if observers are plural, and moving the emission unit to a position determined according to an observer's position if the observer is single, and then emitting the N viewpoint images to the observer's position. The dots are consecutive in a row direction of a display panel. The emission unit includes a constituent emission unit consisting of M sub-areas. The display quality of three-dimensional stereoscopic images may be improved by detecting the number of observers and then driving in a multi-viewpoint mode or a tracking mode according to the number of the observers.

  • Patent number: 8531448
Abstract: A deviation amount of a pictographic character portion of “G” is calculated based on a description of a file, and left eye-use display data (ABCDEF GIJK) and right eye-use display data (ABCDEG HIJKL) in a portion (b) in FIG. 3 are generated. A starting location of a description of “ABCDEFGHIJKL” is specified by an X coordinate and a Y coordinate described in the file. In addition, a process of alternately writing pixel data constituting the left eye-use display data (ABCDEF GIJK) and pixel data constituting the right eye-use display data (ABCDEG HIJKL) from a pixel data storing location of a VRAM corresponding to the coordinates (that is, one right eye-use pixel and one left eye-use pixel are alternately written one after another in a horizontal direction as a display image) is carried out.
