  • Patent number: 4848360
Abstract: A device for preventing snoring of a sleeping person comprises an arrangement (5-9) for detecting snoring sounds and an apparatus (17) controlled by this arrangement and adapted to influence the person to stop snoring. The arrangement has a sound-receiving microphone (5) and at least one frequency filter (6, 8), arranged to deliver signals deriving from sounds with frequencies typical for snoring sounds in order to determine if the present sound derives from snores. The arrangement further comprises a circuit (10-14) for determining if the signals delivered by the microphone are periodically appearing at time intervals, which are typical for snores. The circuit comprises a counter (13) which is arranged to count the number of snores. The arrangement (5-14) of the device is adapted to send activating control pulses to the apparatus when the counter (13) has detected a predetermined number of successive snores with the time intervals.

  • Patent number: 4788773
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring the lateral inclination of a supporting surface comprises a lateral inclination indicator (5) arranged on a vehicle (1). A second indicator (6) delivers information corresponding to the velocity of the vehicle. There are means (6, 7, 8) for delivering information corresponding to the velocity difference between the two laterally displaced wheels. A device (9) is adapted to, on basis of information from the second indicator (6) and said means (6, 7, 8) and information concerning the lateral displacement between the wheels, cause a correction, which corresponds to faults of information from the inclination indicator (5) resulting in consequence of laterally directed forces in curves, and by means of this correction and the information from the inclination indicator deliver an output signal corresponding to the real lateral inclination. (FIG. 1).

  • Patent number: 4679076
Abstract: The coordinates are determined for arbitrary points on the contour of any body (1). This is achieved by producing a line (13) circumventing the body (1). The circumferential line (13) is moved along the body (1) and is reproduced in various positions. In each position the coordinates along the circumferential line (13) are determined and stored in a memory unit (9), enabling them to be subsequently used for various purposes such as planning dosage, radiation and the like for said body (1), and for calculating distances of volumes prior to taking corrective measures.
