  • Publication number: 20220288270
Abstract: A packaging system for the storage of an ophthalmic device is disclosed. The packaging system includes a sealed container containing one or more unused ophthalmic devices immersed in an aqueous packaging solution that includes one or more conjugated glycosaminoglycans having a polymer backbone having a reactive functional moiety conjugated to an amine group having one or more moieties that inhibit and/or prevent one or more of oxidation and hydrolytic degradation of the polymer backbone during use in the eye; wherein the aqueous packaging solution has an osmolality of at least about 150 mOsm/kg, a pH of about 6 to about 9 and is sterilized.

  • Patent number: 7348071
Abstract: An organic molecular compound comprising a complex fluorene structure having either: wherein: X1, X2, X3, and X4 are individually the same or different and include a moiety containing at least one CH and one N; R1, R2, R3, and R4 are substituents each being individually hydrogen, or amino, or alkyl, or alkenyl, or alkynyl, or alkoxy of from 1 to 40 carbon atoms; aryl or substituted aryl of from 6 to 60 carbon atoms; or heteroaryl or substituted heteroaryl of from 4 to 60 carbons; or F, Cl, or Br; or a cyano group; or a nitro group; or R3, or R4 or both are groups that form fused aromatic or heteroaromatic rings; or R1 and R2 together form a cyclic ring having 3 to 20 carbon, nitrogen, sulfur or oxygen atoms; or R1 and R2 together form a double bond moiety.

  • Patent number: 7022461
Abstract: An imaging member, such as a negative-working printing plate or on-press cylinder, has an imaging layer comprised of a thermally sensitive compound and a photothermal conversion material. The thermally sensitive compound comprises a heat-activatable bisulfite adduct and can be a polymer or a small molecule compound. In the imaging member, the thermally sensitive compound reacts to provide increased hydrophobicity in areas exposed to energy that provides or generates heat. The imaging layer is considered “switchable” and can be used to provide a lithographic printing image without traditional alkaline wet processing.

Date of Patent: April 4, 2006
    Assignee: Eastman Kodak Company
